Baby Steps to Real Food. Cut back on eating food that comes in packag...

A food and fitness blog from a dedicated CrossFitter following the paleo lifestyle. Thursday, October 6, 2011. DIY Food Adventure Menu: Breakfast, Bone Broth, and Gestational Diabetes. Pregnancy has been going well for me- really well. I feel great and am enjoying the experience SO much. Feasting on Fitness: Lunch Time!

http://feastingonfitness.blogspot.com/2009/09/lunch-time.html

A food and fitness blog from a dedicated CrossFitter following the paleo lifestyle. Sunday, September 20, 2009. Carrots, berries, apples, grapes, kiwis, salad greens, virtually any fruit and veggie you can think of. Beans/legumes of any kind, starchy potatoes (save those for an occasional dinner or post workout dish), and use high glycemic fruits. Like bananas, melons, mangos, and the like. High glycemic fruits will just leave you hungry a couple of hours later anyway, so keep them to a rare treat. Anoth...

Feasting on Fitness: Pancake Heaven

http://feastingonfitness.blogspot.com/2009/09/pancake-heaven.html

A food and fitness blog from a dedicated CrossFitter following the paleo lifestyle. Thursday, September 24, 2009. On my kick of trying to make paleo substitutions to appease my flour-bred brain, I found these DELICIOUS gems at Elana's Pantry. Slightly adapted from Flapjacks. Cooking Time: 15 minutes. 2 eggs, room temperature (warm using a warm water bath or leave out prior to cooking). 1 T vanilla extract. 1 and 1/2 C almond flour/meal. 1/2 tsp kosher salt. 1/2 tsp baking soda. Coconut oil (for cooking).

CrossFit Santa Clara Nutrition. Paleo’s version of “Eat This, Not That”. Paleo Lunch and Dinner. From Melissa Joulwan’s blog. 1 First, I sauteed onions, thinly-sliced jalapenos, and a bunch of garlic in olive oil. 2 Then I added previously grilled chicken…. 3 … and a pile of previously steamed green beans. 4 When all those ingredients were heated through, I added the spice blend. And stir-fried until the whole kitchen smelled like an exotic and mysterious spice market where spies sidle suspiciously.

Feasting on Fiction

Sunday, May 1, 2011. The Book Thief, final thoughts. In the book, The Four Agreements, we learn that the human mind is like fecund ground where seeds are continually being planted. Those seeds are opinions, ideas and concepts. When you plant a seed, a thought, it grows. Words are like seeds and the human mind is its fertile garden. The Bible states: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. I had outlined a few more posts for this book but alas my plans had to change...
