Fighting the Invisible

Sunday, January 5, 2014. Life never presents us with what we expect. After this saga, a woman I work with said something that stuck with me - something always goes wrong when we have a baby - either it's a hard pregnancy, or a tough labor, or feeding the baby is an adventure. Well, I fell into category number 3. I only pumped a few more times in the evenings, and then finally put my pump away and never looked back. Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Thursday, I felt kinda crappy. I had a few contractions dur...

Fighting the Invisible: July 2011

http://fightingtheinvisible.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, July 23, 2011. Friday morning I was woken up to my doctor calling me. Apparently, he erased all of the ultrasound images he had taken the day before, and was wondering if I could come in to have hem redone. I went in, and within ONE DAY of taking the Enbrel, my swelling and inflammation had gone down significantly! That is a good sign the Enbrel is working, considering it normally takes some time to decrease symptoms.WOOHOO! Thursday, July 21, 2011. Enbrel to the Rescue! But OWWWWW. It stun...

Fighting the Invisible: October 2011

http://fightingtheinvisible.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 9, 2011. To actually want to have sex with my husband. Thursday, October 6, 2011. It's been a while. And that's because I really haven't been feeling that bad at all lately! I guess the Enbrel is working, because I am working my butt off and not getting too fatigued. So, yay! I answered honestly, "Yes, but not "sick" sick, but chronic sick." By the time I had to sit through my 3 hour class, I was done. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Its been a while. View my complete profile.

Fighting the Invisible

http://fightingtheinvisible.blogspot.com/2012/07/well-ny-resolution-worked-so-well.html

Monday, July 30, 2012. Well, the NY Resolution worked so well. I'm back, mostly because I need a chance to vent. I'm in the middle of a flare, and I couldn't be more depressed about it if I tried. I've been off the Enbrel for three months. I stopped because I got pregnant. I hadn't felt as good as I did since being diagnosed. It was wonderful. That was a month ago yesterday. Yesterday, I gave myself my first Enbrel shot in three months. I'm in so much more pain than I've gotten used to. This is my story ...

Fighting the good "food" fight

Fighting the good "food" fight. Sunday, April 18, 2010. Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies. I thought these cookies were yummy, but my husband said they were just OK. My kids really loved them.
