Tuesday, 10 April 2012. Had a fab time in Weymouth coast over Easter-the weather, surprisingly, was VERY cooperative. ‘Crabbing’ proved to be the favourite activity for the munchkins, look at this beauty caught by them! The culinary highlight of the weekend was the perfect chippy I had. The cod batter was beautifully crisp, hardly greasy, and just the right size fish for once. My recipe for crispy cod:. 4x175g thick cod or. Fillets, taken from the head end rather than the tail end of the fish.

Tuesday, 22 May 2012. Our first Market Day. It was a cold Sunday morning but the atmosphere was calm and cheerful. The kids, who were not very keen to come along the day before, were very energetic and positive! Good sign. It's our first farmers' market so EVERYTHING had to be just perfect. Surprisingly very organised, thanks to my partner Sal, we got to the venue quite early. Chicken and peanut curry. Food Lovers' Kitchen sauces. We will be back, definitely. :-). Sunday, 25 March 2012. The way my grandma taught me:. I prefer to use grains from the Orient for its fragrant characteristic; however, other rice types would suit this procedure, with the exceptions of wild rice and Arborio. Bring to roll boil, then turn heat right down to simmer until 90% of water has been absorbed by rice. Never stir rice. Switch off heat, let rice stand for about 10-15 mins, then serve. Use as a base for fried rice dishes. Easy Egg fried rice. 2 eggs, beaten. 3 cloves garlic, minced.
