Food Snobbery is my Hobbery. It's not that I'm a snob. I'm just a food snob. There. I said it. Thursday, June 27, 2013. Cilantro Walnut Pesto on Snap Peas. I have a little problem with not being able to weed out useful plants from my garden, even when they're interfering with other useful plants. Last year it was dill. This year it's cilantro. So I cut the tops off of a 4x4 garden bed FULL of cilantro and brought it inside to make something with. Here's what happened:. I peeled 3 cloves of garlic. Butter...

Food Snobbery is my Hobbery: December 2012

http://foodsnobberyhobbery.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Food Snobbery is my Hobbery. It's not that I'm a snob. I'm just a food snob. There. I said it. Sunday, December 30, 2012. I recently joined a little book club where we read only food/nutrition and health-related books. Even though this is the type of stuff I'm interested in, I often find that it closely resembles work. But the truth is, I like reading these non-fiction books and I want to keep learning. So instead of relying on my own motivation to pick up these books, I joined a this book club. Canning ...

Saturday, February 16, 2008. This, is a Love Letter.to a Cutlet. Even though I received Vcon in October for a birthday gift, I only got around to making the much adored Chickpea Cutlets the other night. I wish I hadn't waited so long, 'cause holy moly! But hopefully when I remember what I put in it, I can pass it along. I also made some spicy sweet potato bites and some simple steamed broccoli and carrots. It was a heavenly dinner that we enjoyed with some beers and some Frasier re-runs. But here in Cana...

There are tons of veggies you can throw in stir fry. a few of my favorites, but DO NOT limit yourself to:. Baby Corn (again, yuck). Fun toppings are everywhere but I am partial to toasted black sesame seeds. Your own sauce can be fun to make or buy, or leave out completely! Baby Bells (and one teenie weenie habanero, shhhh).

Food Snob

A food blog, written by a true foodie. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Last night I had dinner with Jay and his parents at Vincenti Ristorante. On San Vicente Blvd. in Brentwood. I had never even heard of this place and didn't know what to expect. Upon entering, I was impressed. The decor was clean, modern, and classy. We sat at a table in a more private back room, so it wasn't too loud. Is a fresh Italian cheese, made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella while the inside contains b...

Food Snob | bon vivant vivant bien

Bon vivant vivant bien. Fäviken Magasinet, Järpen. May 25, 2011. S it right that I force my customers to kill a chicken at their table before I cook it for their dinner? His was how Magnus Nilsson, flushed with excitement, accosted me one afternoon during February’s Omnivore food festival in Deauville. ‘A couple of Russian ladies just asked me this during an interview,’ he gushed. ‘This is what people are saying about me’. Food Snob Diary

Monday, October 26, 2009. MUSHROOM - INFUSED SAUSAGE RAGU. I tossed this luscious ragu with al dente orecchiette pasta but I think it would pair nicely with creamy polenta as well. Some other uses may include empanadas, caneloni, lasagna, ravioli or gnocchi. This recipe will also work beautifully with a turkey sausage substitute. Buon appetito! SERVES 6 - 8. 35 lbs sweet italian sausage, casings removed. 1 carrot, finely chopped. 1 onion, finely chopped. 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped. 1 dried bay leaf.
