Friday, April 30, 2004. Why is there such a thing as arthritis? Why must our loved ones suffer so? My mom is apparently heading into one of her yearly excrutiatingly painful arthritis spells.it can last up to a week. During these episodes, she is crying from the pain, and says things like "I want to die", "My family (that has passed on) is waiting for me", and other assorted phrases related to wanting to die.
