I have now started tiling the floor in the lounge/dining area, about 48 square metres to do. Never tiled a floor before so once again it's a learn as you do it sort of thing. Of course the new concrete floor is not level despite the assurances of the builder that it is perfect! Lunchtime over so knees bent, pads on and hey ho it's back top work we go.

Spring has finally decided to put in an appearance at chez peasant. The fruit trees are coming into blossom and the bees are making such a noise it almost deafens you! Still it will be nice to have a couple of animals grazing the land a bit. the third arrives in july when he is old enough to leave his mum. Chickens arrive end may.horses? And what kinds of chickens?

At last we have finally got the goats and very cute they are as well. The goat hotel is not completely finished but the walls are all up and it has a roof to keep out the rain so they will at least remain dry and out of the wind. Evidently goats just hate getting wet! We have had lizards,bats and mice in the ceiling so i know what they sound like but this is nothing like that! We have been invited to a party tonight at our neighbours. He is about 1km away! So to one and all we wish you a very happy new year and its back to work on Monday, looks like I have some old plaster to remove and replace with some new so that should be fun.
