https://funwithnancy.blogspot.com/p/chichilina-some-of-my-favorite-pics.html
Welcome to my blog where I share a little of my cooking, furniture refinishing, crafting, and sometimes a wee little bit of my opinion. Chichilina: some of my favorite pics! October 20, 2010 at 5:40 PM. She is a beautiful little girl! I could just snuggle with her all day! I have a special place in my heart for Chihuahuas. :-). December 29, 2010 at 9:00 AM. They have a way of just melting your heart, that is for sure! Its also a way of getting what she wants too! She has trained us well!
Fun With Nancy: Spooky Fingers
https://funwithnancy.blogspot.com/2010/09/spooky-fingers.html
Welcome to my blog where I share a little of my cooking, furniture refinishing, crafting, and sometimes a wee little bit of my opinion. Thursday, September 30, 2010. I made these creepy bloody fingers last Halloween. Everyone loved them, especially the little ones! They were fun and easy to make. I used a butter cookie recipe (see below) and placed a sliced almond for the fingernail. Drizzled seedless raspberry jam for the blood and presto! You couldn't eat one without laughing! 1 cup butter or margarine.
Fun With Nancy: Cake balls the right way!
https://funwithnancy.blogspot.com/2010/08/cake-balls-right-way.html
Welcome to my blog where I share a little of my cooking, furniture refinishing, crafting, and sometimes a wee little bit of my opinion. Thursday, August 19, 2010. Cake balls the right way! Let's try this again. One baked. Cake crumbled with a fork. I made a white cake because I have a few (hundred) boxes left over from my nieces wedding. One can of any flavored frosting. I used cream cheese. One glass of my favorite wine. Not for the cake balls, just for me. Here's an extra large close up! PS Love your g...

Welcome to my blog where I share a little of my cooking, furniture refinishing, crafting, and sometimes a wee little bit of my opinion. Monday, February 6, 2012. Hot Pink and Zebra Baby Shower Week! It's been a busy few months around my home to say the least! Holidays, baby shower, I fell at work and fractured a few bones (Boo Hoo! With all that going on I hope you will excuse me for being a little behind in blogsville. Today I'm going to share how to make a balloon stand. This was my first one ever!
Fun With Nancy: Fancy Pens fit for a Hot Pink & Zebra affair!
https://funwithnancy.blogspot.com/2012/02/fancy-pens-fit-for-hot-pink-zebra.html
Welcome to my blog where I share a little of my cooking, furniture refinishing, crafting, and sometimes a wee little bit of my opinion. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Fancy Pens fit for a Hot Pink and Zebra affair! I needed pens for the baby shower games and wanted a fun way to incorporate the hot pink zebra theme. I wanted it to be cute, but I also wanted it to be. Thrifty. I decided to recycle a few cans for the project. I think these were from stewed tomatoes. It's not cute if it cuts! Now just add a bow!

Projects Plenty: Front Entry Improvements
http://projectsplenty.blogspot.com/2010/09/front-entry-improvements.html
Sunday, September 5, 2010. After we built our house, we were happy with the front facade of the house, inititally. I especially love the front door. After living in the home a while, we decided we wanted something a little more special than just plain concrete for the porch. Here is a picture of the front entry with plain concrete. Projects Plenty: The Turquoise Dining Table
http://projectsplenty.blogspot.com/2010/09/turquoise-dining-table.html
Tuesday, September 7, 2010. The Turquoise Dining Table. Look what I came across at a local department store this past weekend when I was shopping for charger plates…. This table was gorgeous. The turquoise finish was glazed beautifully and perfectly distressed. I not only loved the table, but also thought the dinnerware, table linens and topiaries looked great. ALthough I liked the benches, they looked too low to provide functional seating. A close-up of the distressed finish and the crystal knobs. Thanks...
Projects Plenty: Master Bath- and realization that I may be a tile addict
http://projectsplenty.blogspot.com/2011/01/master-bath-and-realization-that-i-may.html
Thursday, January 13, 2011. Master Bath- and realization that I may be a tile addict. This is the master bath as you enter from the bedroom. I would have liked the area to be larger, but as we were planning our house, it became apparent how expensive it is to build and we had to pare down many areas, including this one. Here is the vanity…. And chandelier, that I got at almost 70% off retail at a store closing sale. I really need to do something with the ceiling. any ideas? Here is the toilet area. The p...
Projects Plenty: April 2012
http://projectsplenty.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 19, 2012. Starting on the Lower Level. Our lower level is pretty much a blank slate. There is a pool table, some bar stools and that is about it. We decided to go with a rustic, casual look (per hub's request). I recently picked out two hair on hide arm chairs for part of the seating. Because each hide pattern is inherently unique, both chairs look different. Below is a pic of the chair "A.". Below is a close up of the hair on hide on the back rest of chair A. A side view of chair B.
Projects Plenty: Dining Table Re-do for My Son
http://projectsplenty.blogspot.com/2010/07/dining-table-re-do-for-my-son.html
Thursday, July 29, 2010. Dining Table Re-do for My Son. So I cleaned, sanded and primed and then painted it black. To add a little interest I wiped on some metallic paint (Faux Effects MetalGlow in Toasted Coconut) on the pedestal base and legs. Because the accenting seemed a little too THERE, I went over those areas with some dull black paint and wiped/blended to bury some of the metallic. (Below shows the dull black paint just applied, and then after blending). Plus some upholstered end chairs. Thats r...
Projects Plenty: Dining Room in Progress
http://projectsplenty.blogspot.com/2010/11/dining-room-in-progress.html
Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Dining Room in Progress. I have been working on my dining room for several weeks. It has been slow going because I have a hard time making decisions when it comes to decorating my home. This is how the room started…. One of the first things I chose were this this black mirror and console table for the niche. The console is a mirrored eglomise piece. It is pretty in real life, but hard to photograph due to its reflective qualities. Great lines on the legs and base…. I think I...
Projects Plenty: New Sitting Area
http://projectsplenty.blogspot.com/2013/08/new-sitting-area.html
Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Part 1: Sitting Area. While furnishing our new kitchen hearth area, I recently addressed the area by the stair well. This is an old picture taken before construction. Here is the area during the expansion project (area by the two arched openings, far right just beyond scaffolding):. Area when construction was completed, unfurnished. I decided to use this as a seating area and went with a pair of leopard wing chairs (already had one and just recently purchased a second). OMG, I...
Projects Plenty: Cast Stone Fireplace Surround
http://projectsplenty.blogspot.com/2013/04/cast-stone-fireplace-surround.html
Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Cast Stone Fireplace Surround. We chose a linear, rectangular shaped fireplace for our kitchen hearth space. Although on the modern side (not really a style in our home), we liked the look. Also, since a 75" TV will be placed above it (husband's idea), the thought was that a vertically oriented firebox would make for a balanced look. Below is the fireplace wall after the dura rock underlayment was hung. Early picture of the cladding installation. Ceiling and floor trim. WOW Us We...
Projects Plenty: Working on the Kitchen Dining Area: Kitchen Dining End Chairs
http://projectsplenty.blogspot.com/2013/07/working-on-kitchen-dining-area.html
Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Working on the Kitchen Dining Area: Kitchen Dining End Chairs. Our kitchen dining set with stained wood and upholstered leather chairs seemed blah, boring, one note. To fix this, my thoughts were to add an area rug and get end chairs that are different. When I saw this wing back chair I thought a pair might be interesting as end chairs. I liked the lines and the height. at 52 1/2" the chair is 4" taller than our current kitchen dining chairs. After several weeks they arrived:.

Thursday, 23 February 2017. NSS Kids’ Fun with Nature and Culture at Jalan Kubor Cemetery. By Gloria Seow, Education Committee Vice Chairperson. Photos by Gloria Seow and Timothy Pwee.
