Maybe it's the hint of amber that suggests the coming season. I am pairing them with some creamy embossed china which keeps the mood light and cool on a late afternoon in August. I was so pleased with the way this doily came out after freshening it up that I wanted to show it to you. It's large. More of a runner, and done with a soft cotton, almost yarn-like, thread. Vintage Home and Garden. Wednesday, March 7, 2018. I think that I may always be trying to live a Brambly Hedge life, but the tendency seems to grow stronger in spring. At least that's when I am most apt to get lost in a mouse story or bunny tale world! I will never outgrow this little fairy tale world which always seems to start with spring. Right now my new lettuce flat has a cheery place to wait for it's place in the garden. And what should I find but a new stash of laces that had not been there before?
