The Giles Family

Monday, October 28, 2013. I think I'm a little late on this, this year. I've been busy and still can't believe Halloween is this week already! Ten adults, eleven kids. Pretty crazy! Other items up for conversation:. Are we going to try and get a family picture taken this year? Please give your feedback either way. Then I g...

Of course we loved visiting the new parents too! Carrie's was doing a great job getting accustomed to the whiles of being a new mom. 1) Nursing and pumping at least 50% of your day). 2) Trying to catch a few winks when the baby sleeps (hard to do, esp. when you have guests). 3) Doing a lot of baby holding and loving :). Saturday, November 12, 2011. The Answer to Your Winter Blues. Lets face it. Winter in Utah sucks. Last weekend, Troy and I were lounging around our apartment in complete boredom due to the fact that we can't enjoy being outside any longer. We decided to go to Target just to wander. Thats when we stumbled upon the wonder that is Nerf. Naturally, we bought 2 guns and a larger than necessary bag of darts. The Pink Series Half Marathon 2011. The first 4 miles went SUPER quick. I was shocked. The snow...Troy ...

Thursday, July 28, 2011. Get me some ginkgo biloba. This may seem confusing but stick with me through this. While reading through some old entries, I stumbled upon this piece of literature from September 18, 2004. (I hope you enjoy the high school writing style). So then when my dad came home we went and jumped my dear car and got it home. At home, we pulled some stuff apart and took out the battery and such and brought the battery to Auto Zone…(get in the zone…AUTO ZONE! Sunday, July 17, 2011. Now you m...

Troy and Alex: Yay spring!!

http://troyandalextreanor.blogspot.com/2012/04/yay-spring.html

Sunday, April 22, 2012. Best thing about Provo is the spring time weather. My first summer here, I kept waiting for it to get hot but was surprised when October hit and I felt like summer came. I guess thats what happens when you are used to Vegas weather. Instead, it stays pretty nice throughout all the summer months.except for that reliable snowstorm in the middle of May each year. Weird. Giles and Swan Family History: February 2012

http://gileshistory.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Giles and Swan Family History. A place to remember the people who made us who we are. This is Our Family! The more I read and research, the more I realize how unique and rich our family heritage is. Our family goes back to the 1600s in America on the Giles, Swan, Christensen and Clark lines. I have a number of journals and documents piled in file cabinets and boxes. As I get time, I'll scan them in and publish them under the appropriate family line- and include stories as I learn them. John A Hazle 1839.

Sunday, November 28, 2010. The Thanksgiving Feast at Meg's preschool is always so funny to me- the kids are so excited and yet very few of them actually eat Thanksgiving food! The most popular dish was a big bowl of fruit (watermelon and strawberries) that a very savvy mom had cut into shapes with mini cookie cutters! How cute are these kiddos, though? And now, bring on the holidays! Friday, August 20, 2010. I kept these around because a) Brian received that last picture of his girls for his office as a ...
