Sunday, November 28, 2010. The Thanksgiving Feast at Meg's preschool is always so funny to me- the kids are so excited and yet very few of them actually eat Thanksgiving food! The most popular dish was a big bowl of fruit (watermelon and strawberries) that a very savvy mom had cut into shapes with mini cookie cutters! How cute are these kiddos, though? And now, bring on the holidays! Friday, August 20, 2010. I kept these around because a) Brian received that last picture of his girls for his office as a ...

Giles Family Blog: October 2009

http://www.gilesfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 27, 2009. A Day in the Clouds. Kristin and I took the kids to see our grandmother Margaret and Aunt Lori and spent a really nice day with them! First we laid around on Grandma's grass (the kids) and gazebo (the ladies), then we visited horses at "Fraulein" Maria's house.* And finally we had a yummy dinner at Lori's house where the girls went swimming in the hot tub which is perched on the side of a mountain! Don't you wish you could still believe in such idealism? Sunday, October 18, 2009.

Giles Family Blog: June 2010

http://www.gilesfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Back home in New York. We are back in New York for a visit! So much to say and record about the trip, but for now, I'm going to jam pictures up so our family and friends can see what we're doing. Meg and Sienna in matching outfits that Holly brought home from Paris! The girls fell right into their old friendship and are stuck like glue to one another, of course:. One of the amazing summer rainstorms the likes of which the west coast never experiences. We miss these:. It was the ...

Thursday, April 22, 2010. Plugging away at April . . . Spring is here and the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing and the tree that creates a natural curtain between our neighbor's bedroom and ours is filling in with precious privacy leaves! Not much going on around here except lots of pre-school and playing with cousins and Brian's new job (he is now the Regional New Build Manager, or something like that). My sister's baby, duh! You though. . . .hahahaha! Sunday, April 11, 2010. We all sort o...

http://lanecrew.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Tuesday was Nate's plastic surgery to remove his "bump" as we called it. Here he is what his bumped looked like at his consultation on 6/19 3 weeks after the bump appeared. Here it is just before Nate scratched the whole thing off in his sleep the night before surgery:. Nate is so loved not only did my mom and dad show up to wait with us, but Jen, Ethan, Kenna, Seth and Chase showed up too! And they all had presents for Nate so he was pretty happy at that time. The worst part for ...

http://lanecrew.blogspot.com/2010/05/ahhh-camping.html

Friday, May 21, 2010. School was out and we left that afternoon for a weekend plus at Santee Lanke in San Diego. Heres our campin buddies: my folks, Ryan's folks, Ryan's grandparents and the Schmidts. Ryan's grandparents site had the most awesome climbing tree - all the kids in the surrounding sites thought so too! There is so much wildlife at Santee, this time we saw baby ducks! Some girls came over and caught the ducks so they boys could pet them :). Look there I am! Our lovely site right on the lake:.

The Lane Family: Zachy's Friend Party

http://lanecrew.blogspot.com/2010/05/zachys-friend-party.html

Friday, May 14, 2010. Since Ryan built a pirate ship in the backyard we figured it would be good to have a pirate theme party. We started of with some mustaches:. And lots of playing on the playset. This is what Zach did while the kids sang to him. We opened his present on the playset. The kids kept playing on it :). I love this shot of Kelly with her toilet paper roll-scope. We had a treasure hunt. With a cool map! The treasure was foam swords for everyone! Ryan, Jane, Nate and Zach. Moms Rock The Shirt.

Monday, July 13, 2009. Emma, Caden, and I went to our favorite tea house, The Tea Trolley, to celebrate the end of the school year. Miss Wendy, the owner is very sweet to the kids and they are always asking to go. As you can see, our garden pics weren't the most successful.:). I think the garden pics are cute :). I had a great time watching the game with Morgan… Blake and Brady had a good time talking about whatever 6 year olds talk about! Picture with my Sweet Pea! There w...

The Giles Family

Monday, October 28, 2013. I think I'm a little late on this, this year. I've been busy and still can't believe Halloween is this week already! As I wrote out all the names for the gift exchange drawing, I noticed that for the first year the kids outnumber the adults. Even if mom was on the list, there'd still be one more kid! Ten adults, eleven kids. Pretty crazy! Other items up for conversation:. Are we going to try and get a family picture taken this year? Please give your feedback either way. Then I g...
