Nature Nerding: Mount Tamalplais
http://naturenerding.blogspot.com/2015/04/mount-tamalplais.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2015. We headed to Mount Tamalplais state park for one more camping trip and discovered this gem of a campsite right by the sea. Well, actually they were out of campsites and we were forced to stay in a cabin. Cassia clapped with glee when we told her. The flowers were out in full bloom and I got busy with my camera. My love affair with California poppies continues. I nominate Pojar and Mackinnon. Plant guides organized by flower colour drive me batty. This kid is keen to climb. Simpl...

Nature Nerding: November 2013
http://naturenerding.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Cassia in a Box. She loves this game. Monday, November 11, 2013. Spent some time mountain biking and beach combing on Hornby this summer. She doesn't always smile for the camera. Awesome community centre entrance. Exploring the sandstone down at Ford's Cove. Adorable and tame (unless you have a garden on Hornby). Bikes at the recycling depot/free store. We sold this very boat after a spring. We went cycle touring! Like, way back in August or something. Small, Medium, Large.

Snow Nerding: December 2010
http://snownerding.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 7 December 2010. North of Revelstoke they're plowing a logging road that gives you access to some superb terrain. There's not many people there, partly because you have to walk a little ways to get in there and partly because not too many people know about it. Did I mention that the cold temperature kept the snow really light and fluffy (and made my eyebrows frosty! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Actual link to actual updates.

Snow Nerding: Scotland
http://snownerding.blogspot.com/2010/09/scotland.html
Wednesday, 1 September 2010. I've been extremely lucky. After battling headwinds up through Carlisle and into Glasgow, the weather has turned fine, the wind has dropped and the vistas have become spectacular. I just happened to go past one of my favourite breweries: Loch Fyne Ales. I might have bought one (or five! Which was dutifully dispatched. Mmmm, Avalanche Ale. 2 September 2010 at 20:25. Mmm beer, have one for me! Love reading about your adventure and I hope you enjoy every minute of it.

Snow Nerding: October 2010
http://snownerding.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, 31 October 2010. First Turns of the Season. Early season on McCrae Peak: slip-sliding up a sketchy logging road; slippery roots on the uptrack; flat light on the pocket glacier; first run rusty but the magic's still there; second time around cloud clears and the mountains open up; fun turns in creamy pow; scratchy descent back to the car. Keener people than us had got there first and the light was in and out, but great nonetheless. Watching out for rocks on the second pitch. There's a little bit ...

Nature Nerding: California
http://naturenerding.blogspot.com/2015/04/california.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2015. We headed south for an early taste of summer in late March. Isla enjoyed her first taste of sorrel. Sorrel and trilliums in the redwood forest. Isla loved La Boulange as much as the rest of us. It's San Fransisco's version of La Baguette. This kid cracks me up. Oh, it's so nice to see her climbing a tree. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, July 6, 2014. A week before my due date. I was carrying a lot lower this time round, which meant it would definitely be a boy. Labour is a lot more fun the second time around. Especially with these lovely ladies. Mom and a 1/2 day old Isla. Mom, I'm falling over here. Mom! Can you put the camera down and help me out? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
