Boy what a great month for ringing. Sorry about the lack of blogging recently, because I'm settling in to Year 10, with coursework starting already so even less birding time. Since I've last done a ringing update (its been a while), I've been trying to get out ringing when I can, especially if the weather plays in our favour and boy it has, even when I've been able to go ringing, the others have been catching so many great birds. Nightingale and Redstart are species I've never seen. Norfolk List = 179.

After an amazing day yesterday, in the morning we went to Long Nanny again to see more Little Terns sadly we didn't see another one but saw 10 Roseate Terns! As many people know over the weekend,the 26th Birdfair took place at Rutland Water and as I live so close I went with my Dad for all 3 days. Over the last year I've started blogging and back in January I got Twitter, people have got to know me more, so this Birdfair was going to be the busiest one for me yet. Meeting new and old friends, including people from Norway to Cheshire. After an amazing first day I only managed to get around 7 stands! Your Country Needs You. Selfie with Harry the Hen Harrier.

Earlier this year my dad bought a Moth trap, for myself and him to have our first year of Moth trapping, we'd already had a good list of moths without the trap including Poplar-Hawkmoth, Pale Tussock and Angle Shades. We've had 5 trapping sessions this year, and we've had a good host of cool moths, my favourite include Elephant Hawkmoth, Buff and White Ermine, Light Emerald and Brimstone Moth. Some of my birding adventures! Tuesday, 23 June 2015. On Sunday we took a visit to RSPB Blacktoft Sands in hope of seeing the drake Ring Necked Duck. And also we wanted to see the Montagus harriers. Some of my birding adventures! Saturday, 31 January 2015. Nosterfield gets a visit from America! This afternoon me and my Dad were deciding on where to go for the rest of the afternoon. We couldn't decide where until a drake American Wigeon. Turned up at Nosterfield so we were straight over. As soon as we arrived some birders put us straight onto this awesome bird, it was a little distant but through the scope it looked awesome! It stuck out like a sore thumb from the other Wigeon.
