Mostly Tomato Mania: Shadow Boxing, bred by Tom Wagner
https://mostlytomatomania.blogspot.com/2014/04/shadow-boxing-bred-by-tom-wagner.html
Growing Food Saving Seed Blog. Saturday, 26 April 2014. Shadow Boxing, bred by Tom Wagner. One of my favourite Shadow Boxing lines in 2012. I first grew this segregating variety in 2012, my seeds came from Tom Wagner's then site New World Crops "Pink-purple slicer with purple stripes. Blue vine. Some late-blight resistance". Fruit fully formed, most around a small saladette size. On the chopping block. Having the dwarf and short determinate types appear ties in with another line I grew in 2013, 'Dwarf Sh...

Mostly Tomato Mania: Dancing With Smurfs
https://mostlytomatomania.blogspot.com/2014/03/dancing-with-smurfs.html
Growing Food Saving Seed Blog. Monday, 24 March 2014. How can you not love that name! Dancing With Smurfs F4. The blue - anthocyanin colour is seen most intensely on fruits that have been in direct sunlight. This can be seen on stems and fruits from very early on and fruits continue to darken as they grow. Leaves do tend to curl a bit which helps lets more sunlight in. The shaded under side of the tomato retains it's original colour and ripens to red, a great way to check they are ripe. Growing Food On My Balcony
Growing Food On My Balcony. What This Is About. Thursday, January 27, 2011. One of the first veggies I planted on my balcony was a tomato plant; at the time of planting I put little consideration into creating an environment for my tomato plant that would allow it to flourish into a health fruitful plant. A couple of months later and a little more knowledge about tomato plants, I can see I was destine to fail from the start – I am lucky my tomato plant fruited at all. The pot to small. Achieving the requ...

Growing Food, Saving Seeds
Growing Food, Saving Seeds. Monday, 22 June 2015. Colourful Broad bean flowers. This year I'm noticing some lovely and unusually coloured broad bean flowers, a really nice mix of pinks, purples, reds and browns. Sunday, 9 November 2014. They had become somewhat intertwined with each other and they looked weedy and a bit yellow! One of three pink flowering vines. For a little while an...
