https://growinginag.wordpress.com/2012/10/04/meatprocessingcenter

Exploring life in the world of agriculture. Welcome to the Blog. October 4, 2012. Inside a Meat Processing Center. This picture is of the left side of the processing center before operations began that morning. The red gates is the “chute” where cattle walk in. One thing that I would need for the project was going to be footage of meat, and probably carcasses. When I mentioned this to Dr. Johnson, he invited me to come and watch a slaughter. When this opportunity presented itself, I was eager to particip...

Exploring life in the world of agriculture. Welcome to the Blog. October 19, 2012. This week, I decided to feature asparagus! In my family, asparagus is a meal-time favorite, so we decided to grow some in my mom’s garden. Here is a picture of our asparagus coming out of the ground:. The stalks grow straight out of the ground, and are cut with a knife by hand. Here are some fun facts about asparagus:. Asparagus grows in very saline soil, and often salt is sprinkled around growing asparagus to repel weeds.

Growing in Agriculture

https://growinginag.wordpress.com/2012/10/16/306

Exploring life in the world of agriculture. Welcome to the Blog. October 16, 2012. I added a couple pictures and edited my post! Sorry for all the grammar errors last time, I must have been tired? Over the summer I had the opportunity to make videos for the Florida Museum of Natural History’s Explore Research project and as a part of that experience I was fortunate enough to work with Dr. Dwain Johnson, a meat scientist at the University of Florida. The Watering Hole

Monday, June 8, 2015. Thinking Outside the Box(es). I usually save these kinds of posts for New Year's, when I'm turning over a new leaf and my need for organization is at an all-time high, but I've come to realize there is no bad time to talk about being organized. The Africa They Never Show You. On September 30, 2017. On September 11, 2017. May we be as majestic as the mountains, as humble as the lakes and as resilient as the trees. On June 27, 2017. The best time to reflect and set goals for the coming year may be now, when the benefits of the seeds that were sown in this month have started to reap and we begin to feel a sense of transformation…. May the feelings and rewards of this month serve as a sign of our tremendous ability to soar through divine attachment.

Growing in a Shrinking Culture | My journey through pregnancy, motherhood, and all it entails!

Growing in a Shrinking Culture. My journey through pregnancy, motherhood, and all it entails! So, did I end up sticking with the vegan thing? But I ended up in a great place! Full disclosure, I didn’t finish up the whole month of purely vegan eating – I ended after 3 weeks. But it was after consulting with Stacy. Talking to Stacy was exactly what I needed. I decided to add a little meat back into my diet and if I was hungry, I would eat even if it meant I wasn’t eating a strictly vegan diet. In our last ...
