Special thanks to Grandpa Bill for allowing us to use his power tools to cut the wood! Zachary got to race against four other boys in his Tiger den, and he WON first place! Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Lotsa family, lotsa friends and lotsa celebratin! We had a community group Christmas party where we began with the kids making Christmas ornaments. Sunday, October 30, 2011. Thanksgiving trees, pumpkins and snacks. Today was pumpkin carving day! It's definitely a tradition for us and we all love doing it. Brian helps the boys carve while I roast the pumkin seeds. Gosh they are so good. I am a plain jane kinda girl and like my pumpkin seeds with just a little butter and salt. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm dreading the inevitable.homework, projects, reports, etc. Ugh, just writing that is making me depressed. So changing the subject to funner things:). We then went to Tyler State Park and grilled hot dogs and the kids swam in the lake. That was a big hit. I have to say we have the best neighbors. Christmas morning was really nice, just hanging out and opening presents. It's so much fun watching the joy in our kiddos. They have been contentedly playing ever since. This week off from school has been super nice for all of us! Caroling crew at the "after-party" caroling was such a blessing to my soul! I plan to do that every year now.
