July 16, 2015. Promoting #PlantitForward on Rogers Daytime Ottawa. It’s been a gorgeous summer so far. While Don and I have always planted our own crops of food, this year we really got into it thanks to the #PlantitForward initiative. The Kashi Plant it Forward campaign is a partnership between Kashi and Evergreen. While we might already be...

August 12, 2011. Summer Wine Follow Friday Week 15. Ok, other than shoes, jewellery or George Clooney). Nova 7, a wine from Benjamin Bridge in Nova Scotia, was released in Ontario for the first time this year. According to Don, he nabbed the last bottle he could find at the LCBO at the World Exchange Plaza. We do not often see Nova Scotia wines in Ontario so, if you have a chance to get to the LCBO, there are still a few bottles here and there in the city ($25). Tags: Summer Wine Follow Friday 2011.

This heat reminds me of Mediterranean summers: hot, sticky, humid and fabulous! What better way to end a day than with a Moroccan Brown Ale from Spearhead Brewery? Still...
