Hna Rosas went to Malacatan and Hermana Oporta is my new companion! She’s from Nicaragua and was the MTC companion of my daughter Hna Gaitán. She’s pretty chill and we are working hard to have success in our area. I told her in the change meeting “You’re going to kill me! My new and last companion Hermana Oporta!

This week was great because we got to go to the TEMPLE in XELA! You all know how I feel about the temple, so there is no need to describe how WONDERFUL it is. I hope to visit one more time before I return home in April. Still chugging and loving what I do! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Andrea Page's mission blog, detailing her experiences as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Guatemala Retalhuleu mission. March Happiness – March 2, 2015. HEY MARCH. Time goes too fast! In the other shack house we were living in, there were a couple problems of “losing” money mysteriously so we ditched it and found a perfect apartment! It made the week a little stressful but we are safe and sound. I’ll try to remember so I can make my entries more interesting. I have ...

Andrea Page's mission blog, detailing her experiences as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Guatemala Retalhuleu mission. Meet My Parents – February 16, 2015. This week I met my Guatemalan parents. We contacted a referral given to us by the elders named Michelle. As we walked to her house and opened the door, we chatted and asked if her husband was home too. He came into the living room and presented himself as Martin! 8221; That’s for sure. That is a cool story about...

http://marcosandmelody.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

I realize I haven't even done a proper post adding this little guy to our family blog.and now he's already 4 months old! Can you say, second child? Sorry Max. Being the second born myself, I completely understand. :). I know he was fully ready to get outta there and I wasn't pulling him out beforehand. The bad part? Mason's least favorite thing is when Max cries, and he will often show Max toys and say gently, "It's okay, baby Max." Mason even shares his toys with him. (For now) :). People sure got a kic...

Well, now that it's Spring I think it's time to throw some Christmas Break pictures up here. We really didn't take to many.too busy visiting and having fun I suppose. Here are some of the best! This first set is outside in the rain. At our visit to the Oakland Temple. Inside the Visitor's Center there were Christmas decorations, breathtaking views, and familiar faces! My Uncle Dave, Aunt Patty, and cousin McKay happened to be there that day with their ward from Fresno. Why are you doing this to me? Where...

You should see the other guy.". Last week Mason got his first real black eye. Well, wait-let me explain, because that's not entirely accurate. He woke up Thursday morning with a big bruise and bump on his cheekbone (you can see it on his cheek). The next day, the bruise migrated to his eye, as bruises tend to migrate. This picture was on day 2. How did he get it, you ask? I guess we'll never know for sure. But one thing is for sure.he was still a happy boy! And I, in turn, was inwardly yelling, "Don't yo...

Last week Mason turned 2! I cannot believe I have a 2 year old! Mason is such a good kid. Pretty goofy too I must say (but I'm not surprised considering his parents). ;). 3 Funny Things About Mason:. He does a great fake laugh. If you say, "Mason, laugh! He'll laugh "HA-HA-HA" in forced but real way that we happen to find hilarious. He walks like an old man. If you say, "Mason, walk like an old man! He will smell your feet. If you say, "Mason, smell your feet! For teaching him this. June in San Diego.

Wild Animal Park June 2011. Earlier this summer while visiting my family, we went to the Wild Animal Park. They've since renamed it and made lots of upgrades to the place, but to me, it will always be the Wild Animal Park! The tram ride is SO awesome! They made it a lot nicer and you can see the animals so much better while you're out on safari! Family picture in front of the elephants. We have to tickle Mason to make him smile for pictures. :). Mason looooved the petting zoo! We were pleasantly surprised.

the Duran Family diaries: 6 Months!

http://marcosandmelody.blogspot.com/2013/01/6-months.html

I just love this little dude. He is so happy! And I took these pictures the same day he got shots in the morning. What a trooper! Max is just a joy. Although, he is nearly as hard to keep entertained as his 3 year old brother- and that's saying something. This guy goes goes goes and complains when he gets bored, which is often. I have to get really creative sometimes to keep this guy entertained all day. I really look forward to when my boys can truly play together. This is how it started. Life as of Now.

Mason finally showed interest in playing with dirt again! I obviously didn't expect this when we went out to play in the backyard that day, which is why his clothes look way too nice for this activity. :/ But there's no way I was going to make him change his clothes and risk him losing interest. I think it's SO cute seeing them in the tub together! I really like this picture. I think it's seeing Max's naked baby body in a big room with lots of toys and seeing how little he is. And realizing he wo...Max i...

Poor Mason. He cries every single year sitting on Santa's lap at our Ward Christmas party. This year we couldn't even get him on Santa's lap. Maybe next year? You can tell by Marcos' face that we (along with about 30 people in line behind us) were cracking up. It sounds sad, but I promise if you were there, you'd be laughing too. :) My poor, sweet, sensitive little man. Sure, Mom. Whatevs.". They examine spots on the carpet together. Teach Me to Walk

Teach Me to Walk. August 19, 2014. Well, this may be the last letter I send you. Their parents were there, and they both cried. I felt the Spirit so deeply that I couldn`t even cry- I sang a solo with the ward choir as a musical number, and just felt so much of God`s love and happiness. We ate snacks after in the church and it was great to see the ward really take them in. I love being a missionary! Ok, well there are a few, but not very many.). How could He do anything else? This is NOT a message that w...

The Field is White

The Field is White. Monday, July 28, 2014. Why would the Lord have me sit and wait for a bus that wasn't coming? Sorry the email is late, Hermana Young and I hiked a mountain this morning, and when we got back down all the internet places in santa maria were closed (there are only two). So we had to wait three hours until they opened, but we have just been chilling at the house, laughing, and talking. Definitely one of my best pdays ever. And the day was perfect for hiking! But, later in the week I was r...

Andrea Page's mission blog, detailing her experiences as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Guatemala Retalhuleu mission. Mission Accomplished – April 13, 2015. In the CCM, I remember one elder threw out a question to all of us that has made me ponder for these 18 months – Why did God call me to Guatemala? What contribution or work would Andrea Page do in a simple year and a half? To the Spirit, and more trusting. In the Lords plan. All of these wonderful things I’ve ...
