Ohayou Gozaimasu! | Hiramoto-san's Blog

https://hiramotosan.wordpress.com/2009/03/31/hello-world

Just another WordPress.com weblog. On the night I arrived at Narita airport, I met my roommate, Nate, for the hotel we were staying at. After some small-talk I found out that he was born in Hawaii, and in fact attended the same pre-school as me! We later found out from our mothers that we in fact shared the same birthday and used to throw joint birthday parties with each other! Suddenly, this huge experience became something small that I could relate to. Most of the Family. Final score: Japan 38, USA 21.

From Shinjuku directly to the airport and I’ll be leaving tonight around 7 PM and arriving in Canada today at 11:45 am, half a day before I technically left 😀. I’ve never really had to deal with jet lag, so we’ll see how this goes.

The other side of Tokyo: Soushokudanshi- Grass Eating Men

http://tokyo-canned-ice.blogspot.com/2009/05/soushokudanshi-grass-eating-men.html

The other side of Tokyo. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Soushokudanshi- Grass Eating Men. How fitting that the first topic I delve into is Japanese men! 160; (Exactly what I've been twittering about). . Living in the U.S, I was convinced that men in general were sloppy, immature, and arrogant- ok, maybe that’s just college kids and frat boys that I have to share the campus with.  . After spending a few months in Tokyo, I am absolutely yearning to be in the presence of some testosterone again! It’s a myster...

Japanese Bar-be-que | Brandon In Tokyo

https://brandonintokyo.wordpress.com/2009/07/11/japanese-bar-be-que

I went to a barbecue with some Japanese friends today. Wagyu was involved. 😀. John’s friend Fumi-san invited us to a park in Kichijoji where we barbecued it up with a large group of his work friends (needless to say, this was the closest I’ve ever been to a salarymen part in my life). After we were done grilling shrimp, pork, steak, scallops and some wagyu cubes we made yakisoba (with beer? I love this place. By B V on July 11, 2009. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
