I Run for Hope. Friday, November 28, 2014. I was desperate for a brother. When I was a kid there was very little I wanted more than a brother. I have a brother. One that shares my DNA. One that has my fair skin. But because of difficult circumstances I have never been able to meet him. I was desperate for a brother. Because I was desperate for a brother. Because I was desperate for a brother. And they turn into brother-in-laws. Turns out, he was sticking around. I ended up working for him for four summer...

http://braistedfamilyupdates.blogspot.com/2014/10/a-loving-home-trumps-difficulties-of.html
I Run for Hope. Tuesday, October 28, 2014. A loving home trumps the difficulties of providing it. Well another year has passed and what a year it has been. God continues to bless our family and guide us on an incredible journey. This past year of life sure has been full, and today I get to sit back and reflect on all that has happened. Next to me is my precious baby boy, asleep. I am such a happy and proud dad to care for and raise three amazing kids. Is it easier to lose a father at such a young age?

Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Maddie and I had a special treat today. Our good friends, Leona and Noelle Strait, invited us to an afternoon Victorian Christmas Tea. We had so much fun! We laughed, shared stories, and ate really yummy goodies! The tea was amazing (I had no idea all of the science behind teas! We each had our own tea pots and chose from a huge list of teas. I was so glad I skipped lunch today! There was so much food, and all delicious. And you know how I feel about this lovely lady. I was a ...

Friday, April 29, 2011. With four kids, spring is a crazy time around our house. The end of the school year brings many additional outings, including field day, art shows, and field trips.LOTS and LOTS of field trips! If you are at all familiar with spring time in Colorado, you know that anything outdoors can be unpredictable, at best. I always want to sign those permission slips saying that I'll chaperon with a little note."Weather pending.". Monday, April 25, 2011. Then we headed up to Grami and Papa's...

Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Just for you, mom. We arrived in Lihue, Kauai last night, around 7:00 pm Flying in was amazing! Breakfast this morning consisted of fresh pineapple and papaya, with some Kona coffee. We are getting into this whole Hawaii thing pretty well! By 3:00, we had h...
