I'm a avid runner of 7 years, doing 5 and 10ks and working towards running marathons and also eat more healthy along the way. Saturday, October 3, 2009. Planning for a Marathon. Since the race was in town we didn't leave the house until 10 minutes before it started. I ran a little to warm up because it was 42 degrees here this morning. I then got my number and t-shirt and lined up. It was a small race, lots of college kids because it was for their homecoming. Also had a post-race banana and granola bar.

Breakfast today started out as a new creation to spice things up a bit. I was sort of in a rut with cereal, banana and PB everyday. So I decided an apple would be better since its finally OCTOBER! I also put some pineapple, kashi go lean and a couple Peanut Butter chips, so good. More late on what kind of apple it was! The new Cinnamon Raisin Swirl.

Well several weeks ago I came across another version of those sandwiches, but it is cooked in a cast iron skillet. I actually like this recipe better, it is easier and I think it is a bit tastier. Another great meal for summer! Hot Ham and Cheese Butter Dijon Skillet Sandwiches. 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil. 4 tablespoons melted butter.

And as for the rest of me, I feel great! My energy levels are more than they should be after my longest day at work ever…. Dark Lunch in a Dark Room. Things that have happened since my last entry (in no particular order). I had a few really awful runs that made me want to throw myself into Lake Michigan. I did a 5k with my sister on Thanksgiving, and I had a really good run. I did all of my Christmas shopping. I became star struck when a popular tv show was filming outside of my apartment.
