Paper Vernissage: April 2015
http://papervernissage.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Whats This All About. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Snowy Egret and Garage Sale Finds. Did you come all the way here just for the community garage sales today? You drove all that way just to go to some garage sales? Yes, and we got lucky in finding you, Snowy Egret, perched near the side of the road across the refuge. I wonder - were you people-watching? Whatever it was doing, it was very content and calm and just a tad bit wary of the car stopping. I fell in love with this old Christmas card with the beach...

Paper Vernissage: May 2015
http://papervernissage.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Whats This All About. Saturday, May 30, 2015. Antiques Inside and Out. There's a stretch of little shops in Viking Village and this little antique/gift shop is among them. I find that antique stores are not always the best lit places and this one was no exception relying a lot on the limited amount of outdoor light through the windows. Still there were some very colorful (and clever) vignettes that caught my eye. Some felt ornaments and sealife toys. Old carnival/boardwalk games and whatnot. We weren't a...

http://papervernissage.blogspot.com/2015/07/asleep-down-climb-photo-challenge-wrap.html
Whats This All About. Friday, July 31, 2015. ASLEEP, DOWN, CLIMB - Photo Challenge Wrap Up. These next two pictures are taken looking DOWN the hall at school. You can see some detritus still in the hallways, but most of these rooms have been cleaned top-to-bottom and in a couple more weeks the halls will be cleared so the floors there can be stripped and waxed and ready for the new school year. In the hallways you can find several ways to CLIMB - with ladders that are scattered about at this time of year.

Paper Vernissage: ICAD 2015 - Week 8
http://papervernissage.blogspot.com/2015/07/icad-2015-week-8.html
Whats This All About. Friday, July 31, 2015. ICAD 2015 - Week 8. I should be finishing this today but our Merry Fishmas party put me a little behind. Who am I kidding - it put me very behind on a number of things, but guess what? It's almost August and there's still lot's of summer left to get these things caught up. Lessons have been learned though. Like the need to limit participation in too many things. Ah, but they are fun, so let me get on with getting on. Day 50 - Kimono. Day 51 - Symmetry. This wa...

I took my rolls of solid colored washi tape and tore them up into little pieces to make my sunrise. Day 58 - Queen of Hearts. Day 59 - Plaid. Day 60 - Advice. I have actually made up some business-size cards with this winged pig and that sentiment. This time I added some printed scrap paper for color. Day 61 - Parachute.

Whats This All About. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Dare to Get Dirty - A Plethora of Challenges - Take 1. I love to visit Splitcoaststampers. For ideas and to learn new techniques. They are such a wonderful community of cardmakers, but also show their creativity in many other ways. I belong to the Fan Club which, for a small yearly fee, allows me certain privileges. One of them is to participate in the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges that they post in August. Will know what those codes mean. Stamps are Faith i...

Whats This All About. Thursday, July 23, 2015. ICAD 2015 - Week 7, CREATE - Photo Challenge. Day 43 - Definition. I'm sure it could have meant definition in the sense of well-defined drawing, however I took it literally and shared a definition. Do you see things in clouds sometimes? Day 44 - Focus or Blur. As seen through a pair of watercolored binoculars. Derwent Inktense Pencils. Day 45 - Saturday Night Live. Day 46 - Album Cover. Day 47 - Fashion. Day 49 - Black and White. Questioning Autism: On Test Scores and Attempts at Intervention
http://questioningautism.blogspot.com/2012/07/on-test-scores-and-attempts-at.html
Wednesday, July 11, 2012. On Test Scores and Attempts at Intervention. I received a letter from our school district's Executive Director of Instruction. Here's the opening paragraph. Hmmm "With both administrations.for both test administrations"? My child's "areas of most weakness"? A]ddress those in a focused manner"? Oh, good. I would hate for them to waste his time in an unfocused manner. Methinks Madam Executive Director could use a little English 101 tutoring. Not sure at all. 1 Jack's OAA reading s...
