Wednesday, 23 June 2010. The Future of Tequila? El Tesoro @ Cafe Pacifico. What happens when you get a load of London bartenders together in a room, then fill it up with Tequila? Well, probably not quite what you are expecting. This would be due, in part, to the bad reputation which still lingers (undeservedly) around the tequila category. And, to be fair, the reputation which continues to thrive regarding London's bartenders! Instead, the focus of this blog entry will be the ideas and comments of the gr...

Cocktail Chemist: About Me
http://www.cocktailchemist.co.uk/p/about-me.html
Will Lowe, Cocktail Chemist. After some 13 years in the bar trade, I was fascinated when I discovered the world of Molecular Mixology. After hanging up my flairing boots many years previously, this was the first time I'd seen something so visually appealing going on behind a bar for a very long time, and it reignited my interest in the skills of the often under-estimated bartenders of this generation. Find me a drink. Monthly Archives: February 2015. February 2, 2015 · 9:38 pm. Today has got to have been the coldest of winter so far. When I arrived home this evening, it took a fair while to thaw out my icy fingers and toes, and that was with gloves and thick socks on! If, like me, you’re in need of a glass of something warming on such an evening, pop down to Aldi and pick up a bottle of the plummy Vignobles Rousselet Pinot Noir. Or the rich, cherry-spiked Venturer Costières de Nîmes.

Find me a drink. Monthly Archives: June 2015. June 9, 2015 · 7:56 pm. A recent trip to Rome has reintroduced me to the tangy, bitter-sweet flavours of Aperol. An Italian aperitif made using a ‘secret’ blend of bitter orange, rhubarb, vanilla and various herbs, this orange drink is widely enjoyed in Italy and is fast becoming a summer staple of mine. You can pick up a bottle of Aperol in most UK supermarkets for around 15. Filed under Taste Test. Everything is just peachy. Award-winning reds for Easter.
