Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Well, I survived the Edge to Edge half marathon on Sunday. To say it was hilly would be an understatement. To say it was hard, also, an understatement. You likely won't be surprised to read that it was very much a personal worst as far as time was concerned ( by a long shot! What’s the point? If you are missing your external targets your ego might start asking what’s the point? Separation of Head and State. Mental toughness is nothing more than the decision to keep running towards something that is hard to do. But that choice only exists if you can separate head and state. When there is a disconnect between your want for an outcome and your love for the day to day actions required you may want to reconsider the path you are on.
