Baycruiser 20 no. 1. Old Blogspot Blog For Daisy Grace. Monthly Archives: August 2015. Three days more of summer sailing. I rowed more than I have done all year. I am still pleased with the dinghy and the oars, they work well together. I hope the new boat I’m building will be an even better rower. The chain ferry is a strange beast. Baycruiser 20 no. 1. Old Blogspot Blog For Daisy Grace. Swallowboat RAID at Mylor, near Falmouth. A week sailing in the sun (mostly) with the odd doldrum. Mylor is a lovely spot, and a fleet of Swallowboats made it even more so. Just about every model there. This is what a brand new Baycruiser 20 looks like. No. 10, which was launched at the RAID. Baycruiser 20 no. 1. Old Blogspot Blog For Daisy Grace. Three days sailing in the sun at last. I went down to Poole to put Daisy G back together. She has been sitting on her mooring with her masts down since I came back from Mylor. A calm day, so I motored to the pontoon and managed to get everything raised with little tangle in about half an unstressed hour. Set off sailing, looking for a place to anchor out for the night. Friday, 17 July 2015. This is the second time it has done this and requires a lot of disassembly to rectify it. While was apart today I decided to modify it so that it wouldn't leave my in trouble again. The main drive screw can be seen down through the operating rod. By slotting it with a hacksaw I can free it off the stops without completely stripping it down. End of drive screw clearly visible inside actuator arm. This can now be turned with a flat screwdriver. After yesterday's sail it was pack-up time for the trip back to Banchory and lay-up for the winter. No issues with the pack, the weather was kind and I was able to sort things without any stress.
