Uganda Journey
Friday, May 18, 2007. It was probably the hardest thing to do! Some of the mamas started to cry as I was saying goodbye. The children were asking over and over when I was going to return. They had a going away party for me up at the school in the two classes I taught in and all the kids made me cards! They were so cute, it was the quietest party I have ever seen when it comes to kids though. They all just sat there eating their cookies. I was good, I didn't cry until I had completly walked away! It is wo...

However, although the dishes did have cheese, they were flavorless or sweet as sugar- nothing like normal cheese. Strange, but still good. After we ate we went horseback riding. reflexive orientalism | the sights and sounds of self-exploration
The sights and sounds of self-exploration. How will i explain this. July 23, 2012. Over dinner, after asking what my parents would think of him, and whether I’ve been to Paris, he asked a question that I’ve been silently struggling with myself. How will I explain this to people back home? What will I say about him? How will I explain the manooshi from Zaide’s kiosk that costs 2000LL, or less than $2, for tangy zataar and olive oil toasted on bread? And now for some pictures of me drinking. July 15, 2012.
