City Girl: December 2005

http://jessicainphilly.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html

Thoughts on life as a 25-year-old native New Yorker obsessed with cities and transplanted to Philly to pursue a history PhD . . . Thursday, December 29, 2005. Ode to Trader Joe's. As I eat some vegetarian chili, I thought I would sing, or rather type the praises of my favorite. Institution: Trader Joe’s. Ok I realize that Trader Joes is not native to Philly. I have vague memories of a trip down their wooden checkout isles in. So why is it so wonderful? I could pass along all the tips I’ve heard but perha...

City Girl: Coffee Shop "Character-Watching"

http://jessicainphilly.blogspot.com/2006/01/coffee-shop-character-watching.html

Thoughts on life as a 25-year-old native New Yorker obsessed with cities and transplanted to Philly to pursue a history PhD . . . Tuesday, January 10, 2006. There is no better place than La Colombe for people watching in. La Columbe is a no frills coffee shop right off of. And by no frills, I mean they sell coffee, brewed in. Has the kind of people-watching you get in. I should probably get back to reading a book about the American Colonies. Posted by citylover at 3:22 PM. View my complete profile.

City Girl: History Hollywood

http://jessicainphilly.blogspot.com/2006/01/history-hollywood.html

Thoughts on life as a 25-year-old native New Yorker obsessed with cities and transplanted to Philly to pursue a history PhD . . . Thursday, January 05, 2006. I have officially become a history nerd. How do I know? Because Arnold Hirsch acclaimed author of urban studies classic Making the Second Ghetto: Race and Housing in. And will he speak as well as he writes? Hirsch will be moderating a panel at the annual meeting of the American Historical Association, which convenes tomorrow in. From PhD to Doctor.

Jessica in Munich | "The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page." – St. Augustine

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. – St. Augustine. Florence, pt. 2). Posted by Jessica M. March 5, 2012. 3/3: The next day was our last full day in Florence. I think that we visited the Academia this morning, although it could’ve also been the day before… I’m not sure why I didn’t write it down in my notebook. Anyway, that’s the museum that houses the famous sculpture of David! We were a little sad since Chris wasn’t allowed to check his bags until after my flight would’v...

PATCHLAND

Felice...

Unable to relinquish the crown. I hate drama queens yet I can't seem to relinquish the crown. And a blog was born. The reason behind the title has long lost meaning to what I write. But I still love the word "relinquish", so it stays. More than anything, I am in progress. I'd love company on the trip. Tag along. Monday, February 20, 2006. Please come join us at:. Para; 5:45 PM. Jessica In Progress – Unable to Relinquish The Crown

December 2, 2017. Comments Off on Meat. I have often wanted to Facebook this (Facebook as a verb…kill me now) but I feel it requires a bit of explanation past general Facebook post verbiage politeness. The prologue: For over half a year now, I have not been a vegetarian. I wish I was a vegetarian. And maybe someday again I WILL be a vegetarian. Or even a vegan. (Genetic outlook on cheese – not so good.). I ate some meat. I felt better. Vitamins B12, you iz my frind. But suggest a cut? Angus beef what now?
