Sunday, May 11, 2014. Finding peace on mother's day. When I opened my eyes this morning, I wished with all my might that the date would read "Monday May 12". But it wasn't. The day I had been dreading had arrived. The day that, not once but twice this year, I thought would be my first real Mother's Day. Instead, it is a reminder to me of what I don't have. Their own mothers in the flesh, because they don't have. A good relationship with their mother, or even because they feel they personally don't have.

It was quite windy, so we only got out on the ocean one day. The fishing wasn't too good this trip, however one guy did bring in a 255 lb. black sea bass, but unfortunately it wasn't any of us!
