The Not So Nightly News. Saturday, 21 January 2006. The good/bad news is that it snowed 8 inches last night in Ottawa and the guys had just come in from shovelling wet, heavy snow/compared to sunny, breezy 65F here in Brenda, AZ. When we were out this morning before moving sites, we filled up our propane tank and there was a lady in the parking lot selling citrus fruit so I got some oranges and grapefruit. I just had an orange and it was really good. The prices were good too - 4/$1! Links to this post.

John and Aileen on the road. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Last Saturday while on our way to Victoria, we stopped at a little park near Cowichan Bay to walk Mitzy and noticed this Bald Eagle watching us. The last poppy in Neil and Carol's garden. While walking Mitzy along a forest trail, the sun was in just the right spot to illuminate this spider web. My friend Ernie, who I met through the Alberni Valley Hillclimbers Quad Club, needed a partner to accompany him when he did a trail research and reconnaissance yesterday. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Prices are a little high here. That is to say the least! We went to the grocery store slash hardware store here in South Fork and found the food prices over the top. Gosh if you lived here year around you would have to take out a bank loan for food alone! We know for sure that we will be buying our groceries at Walmart in Alamosa. It is about an hours drive and we figured the difference in price would more than pay for our diesel to go there. Yes prices are hight in the mountains.

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Not much going on. Got up a little late this morning. For some reason I just could not wake up. When I did roll over to look at the clock it was 6:30. WOW I need to get up and get with it. Sherri was already up and drinking her coffee. The sun was not far from rising and here I was still rolled up in the covers like a burrito. My whole day will be off because I slept in. I will have to catch up now to get back in sync with the time. Friday, March 27, 2015. Kris has a Birthday.
