The main difference , which takes some getting used to is the new task feature, gone is the quick link menu, but you can pin an application to an application to the taskbar and then every windows pops up when you hover the mouse over the icon. Wednesday, 1 September 2010. Quick Launch Toolbar icons changing (all by themselves). Yesterday, whilst using my Windows XP PC I noticed that the icons on the Quick Launch Toolbar had changed, but when I hovered the mouse over the icons the correct application description was displayed but the icons were incorrect. I manually reset the icons by going into their properties and using the 'Change icon' button, but when I restarted the PC, guess what, they had changed again! It actually doesn’t exist!

Friday, 21 April 2017. We are back after a (long) break from the blog…. Well what has happened since? Windows 10 has arrived with great fanfare and it is solid now after a shaky start. Did you have many problems with Microsoft Edge? Windows XP was and is still a great operating system. And, what about Apple’s macOS? Well, I have been converted! I hear you all say in chorus, yes, I was converted but I still have most of my machines running on Windows 10. Why do I like Apple macOS? So, where to from here?
