Thursday, January 13, 2011. My advice for happy snow days: have neighbors next door that you love. Nearly 2 feet of snow dumped down on us yesterday, resulting in two straight days of canceled school. Turning it into a 6-day weekend, people. With no daddy for the storm. Sunday, July 24, 2011. We've just returned from a wonderful two week vacation. We spent the first week at Isle of Palms, SC, with the Cobbs. Sunday, October 31, 2010. We challenged our neighbors to a pumpkin carving contest last night. There were snacks and drinks, of course. We took a quick break for "It's a Great Pumpkin" when some raindrops unexpectedly fell. Finally, carving time! These two girls are. I think Mike was really afraid he'd lose. He didn't think it was fair that I was the only judge. :). Gordon really got into it! Mary Helen put me to shame. Caroline wanted a Minnie Mouse pumpkin. Somebody set William loose with a knife (!
