Aviating in Africa: September 2008
http://botswanabyair.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 27, 2008. Tuesday, September 9, 2008. I wake up to my phone buzzing on the bedside stand. "1 New Message" flashes across the screen. Pushing the button to view my message, I begin to read through my sleep-squinted eyes: "Sorry about the early call guys. We have a Kasane - Francistown. The patient has lost a lot of blood." Uggh, what time is it? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Monkeying around at the airport. View my complete profile.

Aviating in Africa: Like the desert needs the rain...
http://botswanabyair.blogspot.com/2010/04/like-desert-needs-rain.html
Saturday, April 3, 2010. Like the desert needs the rain. I could not keep the stupid ball on the inclinometer in between the lines to save my soul! Only climbing at 800fpm? Is there something wrong with this thing? I still haven't done the paperwork to get the C210 in my license but the hard part is over and I had a great opportunity to add to my list of experiences here in Botswana. I had forgotten how much fun it can be to fly singles! April 14, 2010 at 3:24 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Aviating in Africa: June 2008
http://botswanabyair.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 23, 2008. The first medical flying. Immigration had a fairly substantial form that had to be filled out in duplicate for. Entry and exit. (Someone should tell them about carbon paper! In any case, with the paperwork finished and the patient safely in his ambulance and on his way to a South African hospital we were able to turn around and head home. It had been a very long but enlightening day. Sunday, June 15, 2008. And now we wait.again. Tuesday, June 10, 2008. When it rains it pours.
