Chalk up another painting with barbed wire for me! I guess it finds its way into so many of my paintings because old wire fencing is such a part of my environment. If I painted rural country landscapes from where I grew up in New England, lovely old fieldstone walls would grace the scenes. Incidentally, I've completed a few other paintings recently, but they are destined as holiday gifts. I'll share them with you here after Christmas so I won't ruin any surprises. You get to be surprised too!

New Release Giclee and More! By popular demand, I have created a limited edition giclee print of "Jerry Van, Music Man." The image area is 8"x10", surrounded by a white border to aid in framing. The weathered post and old twisted barbed wire said "rural countryside" to me, and provided an ideal backdrop for my casual old-timey bouquet. If you've never tried the unusual combination of chocolate and hot pepper, be open minded - it really works! I love both individually, and the combination is unusual but great tasting. As with all of my recipes, quality ingredients are suggested to attain excellent taste. The jalapeno powder used here is one I make from my own homegrown organic jalapenos, harvested only after they ripen to red. (See my instructions on this previous post.). 1 c coconut oil. 1 c unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 t vanilla extract.

Easy Yummy Nut Cookies and Biscotti - A Theme and Variations. My friend Diane gave me a simple recipe for a Peanut Butter Cookie she had made for a gathering of friends. "Only 4 ingredients," she noted, and it makes for a delicious, easy dessert. After tasting one, I got her recipe.
