Sunday, March 14, 2010. World Ice Art and Ice Park 2010. We LOVE the World Ice Art Championships. It is our favorite winter event up here! Last year, I ended up doing 3 posts about it. This year, I'll try to contain my enthusiasm to one. First, the magnificent sculptures . . . Blue Ring Octopus" - 1st Realistic (USA). Rise of the Sun" - USA. We loved the amazing feather detail. Expectant" - 2nd Abstract (China). Look closely and you'll see the unborn baby image in the center ice. Kyle, not so much. We we...

Rogers' Neighborhood: Fashionista
http://rogerneighborhood.blogspot.com/2011/08/fashionista.html
Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Clara is becoming interested in fashion. Not really, probably more interested in putting on articles of clothing all by herself. Sometime it makes for funny outfits. This is a onesie she tried to put over the outfit she was already wearing. Eventually I had to get Clara her own "makeup". My favorite is when Clara decides to clomp around in Mommy's shoes. Who knew walking in high heels could come so naturally! September 4, 2011 at 10:09 AM. She is getting so big and more cute!

http://happylittletrefethens.blogspot.com/2010/09/ashleys-baptism.html
Saturday, September 25, 2010. I can't believe we have an 8 year old! What a special weekend we had. Ashley has been looking forward to this for some time. She was so excited, yet nervous at the same time. First came the bishop's interview. She was very nervous about meeting with him. She said for one of the questions, he asked her who the prophet was and she said, "I knew mom, but I just forgot! I was so nervous that I just couldn't remember.I asked him, 'Could I still be baptized? Ashley and another lit...

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. That's a brilliant idea, it should really moisturize her scalp," I thought. What it actually did was really GOOP up her hair. These pictures were taken after TWO shampoos; her hair is completely dry. The gunk came out of her hair after two more shampoos, one of which was with dish soap (yes, really! By shampoo number four Clara was pretty ticked off - we all know how long it took her to warm up to baths - but luckily that was the last one. The good news: no more cradle cap!

Saturday, August 7, 2010. These photos were taken in December of 2009. We used one of them for our Christmas card but I didn't get the rest of them back until just recently. I love them so I had to post them. I can't believe how small she was and how much she has changed in so little time. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Happy Little Trefethens: October 2009

Saturday, October 31, 2009. Ashley's Pumpkin Fun Run. Ashley's school does a fundraiser run every year on Halloween. The kids run laps and this year, they got marked off on their shirt each time they went a lap. She did a fabulous job! Zack wanted to run so badly with her that he went ahead and ran a few with her. He'll be excited when he gets to do it next year! Showing off her marked stars! Halloween was a lot of fun! So of course they would have to compliment her too. It was pretty funny. Ashley wore ...

Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Another art show for the family.but not daddy's! Ashley was so excited that her art work was chosen as the "best of the best" from her school. It is on display this week at the her school District's Art Show at the town hall. She was thrilled that she got to be in her own art show just like daddy does! Her work is considered mixed media as it has paint and colored pencils. We thought it was absolutely wonderful and very beautiful! What a little artist! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Zack really loved soccer this last fall. So much so, that we enrolled him in this upcoming spring as well. He enjoyed being active and trying to chase that ball. Josh and I loved it how every time he would kick the ball good, or make a goal, he would look over at us with his "proud face." It was really cute. He gave himself the nickname of "speedboy.". Wednesday, September 16, 2009. First Days of School. I am super behind on my blog.but working to get it up to date! And takin...

Happy Little Trefethens: Frisco "Best in Show"
http://happylittletrefethens.blogspot.com/2010/09/frisco-best-in-show.html
Friday, September 3, 2010. Frisco "Best in Show". Last Spring, Josh won "Best in Show" at the Frisco art festival. As part of his prize, he got to display a dozen pieces at the Frisco town hall for the month of September. They had a very nice catered reception where they honored Josh and another artist who got "Juror's choice." It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed meeting those there that night.
