We celebrate it in spring, a time of hope and warmth. I love reliving the traditions of egg hunts and morning easter baskets. Spiritually, it's so rich! Oh, and hands down - best holiday candy! Our adventures in Philadelphia and beyond. Wednesday, July 30, 2014. We had taken a break from our beach vacation last year because we were in Colorado for most of the summer. So when July came around I was so excited! We always go to the beach with my parents and stay at this adorable house that is just the right size for the six of us. It's only 5 minutes driving distance from the beach - perfect! Isn't it funny how kids don't mind having sand all over their bodies? Hosts: dave, katie, lilia and alex.

Our adventures in Philadelphia and beyond. Sunday, March 8, 2015. This year I gave Lilia the option to go to Sweet-n-Sassy with a girl friend or to have a party at our house. She chose a party and she wanted it to be a Lego Friends themed party. I was thankful to already have some great ideas in my arsenal of party planning. We stole some ideas from Alex's in October. Our adventures in Philadelphia and beyond. Saturday, September 20, 2014. This past weekend was our 12 year anniversary. My parents generously watched the kids for the weekend. Friday night we went to a pop-up beer garden at 15th and South St. It was beautifully done by the Horticultural Society. Then we walked around the city. Then we walked to Talula's Daily. We went home for a few hours to relax. Plus it was raining so there wasn't a whole lot else to do! Dave had made us dinner reservations at La Peg.

Our adventures in Philadelphia and beyond. Monday, May 26, 2014. It was a great honor. James is the Chinese boy standing next to Alex. Last week he turned 7 and he invited some of his friends, including me and the kids, to his party. She makes unbelievable food! I had seconds and thirds of (most) everything on the table. What a great question! I got to explain that more as well as share a bit of my own story of growing up going to church, but not becoming a Christian until high school. I love my job!

I remember her clearly saying of Lilia, "She's really beautiful.". Throughout the baby/toddler years I would hear that phrase repeated.
