No time to Shower or Read or Sew or...: Don't cry for me Argentina
http://whencanishower.blogspot.com/2010/05/dont-cry-for-me-argentina.html
Sunday, May 9, 2010. Don't cry for me Argentina. I just spent a week in Argentina! I know that now I am home they won't cry for me but I couldn't resist. I went to visit a dear, sweet, wonderful friend and I miss her already. Thanks for putting up with a sidekick for the week. Here are some pics of the trip. At a tango show weren't allowed to take pictures so this is what you get to see. None of these logs were tied down, it made us a bit nervous! At La Boca (the birth place of Tango). How fun for you.

http://hokapidia.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 13, 2013. As promised I am back to do some updating. Here are some of the great dates we had. Jefferson Expansion Memorial Museum: So under the St. Louis arch is a museum that walks you through the western expansion, you can see a buffalo and a teepee and read stories about different Native Americans and about Lewis and Clark and such. We went here and got our fill of history then took advantage of the evening to go walk around outside, near the river and under the arch.

No time to Shower or Read or Sew or...: April 2009
http://whencanishower.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2009. I want to ride my bicycle. Come home and eat this. I guess it is time for another bike ride. Sunday, April 19, 2009. Spring is too short. I like the rain sometimes. Children can be noisy. Why did I get a dog? I am very blessed. I still need my mom. I love the color of Spring. I am not organized. I wish I were organized. Sometimes I wish I never had to leave my house. Other times I wish I didn't have to go home. Sunday, April 12, 2009. New Talent (or maybe just hidden). Yes, bec...

Wednesday, June 10, 2009. From an 11 year old girl's point of view. It's my favorite time of day. I get food that I didn't prepare, and I'm grateful for it. 1 It's 5:30, I've been thinking about this since lunch, I'm starving! 2 Usually I do, but sometimes I don't. 3 BIG brother ate it! 4 Little brother ate it! 5 Forget the food storage I want pizza. 7 We're even out of cheese- itz. 8 You mean us clean the kitchen! 9 I may have filled up on them, but I bet others haven't! 10 For you maybe!

No time to Shower or Read or Sew or...: Snow Day!
http://whencanishower.blogspot.com/2010/01/snow-day.html
Friday, January 8, 2010. When I was younger one of the best days would be to wake up for school and discover it had snowed and it was enough for a snow day. I would climb back in to my warm bed and sleep a couple more hours. Maybe a little but these disappointing not. Snow days always bring an unexpected break and there is nothing to stop us from making a nice warm breakfast like chocolate pancakes with chocolate syrup and sipping hot cocoa. January 8, 2010 at 8:49 AM. I want chocolate pancakes!

Tuesday, September 1, 2009. What you have all been waiting for. I know that you have all been checking your computers hourly to see what I did with that "free" time on the first day of school. I have finally had a moment to make that happen for you. This is your picture tutorial on jam making. Mash berries and add sugar. Mix together pectin and water and boil. Combine with berry/sugar mixture and stir. She woke up soon after I wrote my last blog but was a great little helper. When it looks like this.

http://whencanishower.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2009. I think this freedom is giving me at least 1 hour daily. It's been only 8 days and I don't know how I ever lived with out it. I never thought my baby would get this big but every milestone has its joys. Saturday, March 21, 2009. Do you remember what you did 16 years ago today? I do and I also know what Mom, Laura, Mary, Melissa, and Kirsten did (for at least part of the day). Sorry Colette I'm not sure about you? Sunday, March 15, 2009. Have you ever wanted to run away? We saw th...

Julina's Joys: February 2009
http://hokansonhappenings.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 1, 2009. Happy Birthday to Me! Love Dad's new camera. This picture just taken today makes me feel 40 years younger. When people asked me today how old I was I answered, "75" I don't know how many believed me. Anyway, getting older is just fine, so try it. We enjoyed a wonderful salad with tons of good stuff in it, bread, butter, and a sherbet dessert. Laura and Julina did a wonderful job and Bryson had a beautiful table set for the event. Tuesday, November 18, 2008. The Work is Almost Over and the Rewards are Great. Here we are in the front entry, see my new door! To the right is the music room, complete with new paint, carpet, french doors and a beautiful painting. To the left is the dining room, I recovered the chairs. I got a new painting for my kitchen too. I also painted and I am working on new curtains. Notice the crown molding everywhere. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
