Olya & Piero: October 2005

Saturday, October 01, 2005. Olya and I spent our honeymoon in Morrocco. It was really a magical place, and we recommend it to anyone with a taste for adventure. Since we're often asked, here are some tips for folks traveling to the region. We stayed most of the time in Marrakech. But then hired a driver to take us through the Atlas Mountains. And the edge of the Sahara. Days and nights in Marrakech. Are great, as is the big outdoor market of Djeema el Fna. Don't miss it at night! The Ben Youssef Medersa.

Olya & Piero: June 2006

Friday, June 30, 2006. 2 days, 3 nights, and 4 timezones. There's just something about a train. Seeing the world rush by at ground level is so much more real than the God's eye view you get flying. The big towns we passed were unmemorable, but the view was lovely. We saw the great plains the Mongols used to terrorize, and beatiful black and white Birch forrests peppered with cute wooden dachas. By the end we were tired and stinky, but hadn't killed each other - a testament to the strengh of our marriage!

Olya & Piero: July 2006

Monday, July 24, 2006. Silent and greedy, they have been infiltrating our cities. With leacherous pixelated eyes, they watch our world and covet. Major art centers, financial institutions, busy thoroughfares; no urban corner is beyond their lust. In the dark of night, they climb our buildings and bide their time. Any day now, the army of Space Invaders. We first started spotting these cool urban critters in Provence, but turns out the invasion is in every major city in the world. Sunday, July 23, 2006.
