Mama of two little ones, two medium dogs, and wife to one (not large) husband. The cool mornings beg me to go hiking. So we drove to Seven Mile Creek for a little wandering, climbing, playing, throwing stones, and exploring. And it was best because we did whatever the kids wanted. They led, I followed. Mama of two little ones, two medium dogs, and wife to one (not large) husband. We explored Nature's Pallet yesterday. First I cut some "painter's pallets" from a cereal box. The kids drew and colored each circle with a different color and added it's name. Then I used Medium Zots. On each color. We ventured outside to see what we could find of each color and stuck it to the pallet. Surprisingly in October this project wasn't too hard! You are so creative:). Even though I didn't grow up where my parent live now, I still call it "home". Best 12 Days of Summer. Wow - I can't say enough about how much fun the MN State Fair. Is We trekked through it for 12 hours and still left talking about all the things we missed! Our traditional breakfast - Scotch Eggs. Hard boiled eggs wrapped in sausage and deep fried for a crispy outer layer. Dip in a ranch and horseradish mixture and your are all fueled up to see the fair. The boys testing out some hats. The boys loved this robot guy walking around.he had a funny sense of humor too. Off to 1st Grade.

Being a parent is hard. Today was Dylan's turn. Today was Dylan's first day of pre-school. He is in a program this year where he will go two days a week. One day Mom gets to go with him and one day where he goes by himself. Dylan started his last year of pre-school this week. He's the tallest in his class. I measured on our "wall of fame" this week and he's just a hair shorter right now than Cayden was his first day of Kindergarten! He's ahead, height wise, by almost a year! Off to 1st Grade. Dare to TRI, Results Are In! Well, Chris and I are now officially triathletes. Yesterday we completed our first Triathlon and I have to say it was a great experience. Hard though. Probably the most intense thing I've done in a really long time. We had lots of friends come out to support us and yell their cheers. It was a neighborhood event with the Sarkelas, Bakkes, Ashers, and Gendreaus all there! Way to go support team! Thanks everyone for coming. It meant so much to have you there! 37th out of 159 men.

Valley of the Sun. We took off for a week for spring break and headed to the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix). We met Rick, Josephine, Tyler, Tennyson, Paige, and Reece there for some time to relax and enjoy the weather. It was our first trip to this part of the country so it was a lot of fun. We were mesmerized by the size of the Saguaro cactus and blown away to find out that they can weigh up to 100 lbs per foot! To the top of the trail and back down without being carried! What a great trip! Out for a hike.

We headed out to the MN Landscape Arboretum. To scope it out since Vokal Photography. Is doing their portraits in the park there this year (shameless plug). Right before we left Cayden decided to pull out his front tooth! He looks so different now. :). Our friends the Sarkela's came with also and all the kids had a blast. I couldn't believe how much fun they had just running down paths and watching the waterfalls. Way to go Cayden! Looks like a great place for pictures. I love you,. Off to 1st Grade.

On August 27th we competed in the Maple Grove Dare to Tri. Triathlon which is our favorite because we see so many people we know and we have great fans that come and watch (Gendreaus, Bakkes, Sarkelas, Vokals). This is the transition area just after dawn - when we got there at 5:30am it was pitch black. Me coming out of the water (I look faster in still photography thank goodness). Keywords: If you do research online you’ll see a few blogs and articles telling you to take advantage of the fact that you can use phrases like “high school student, class clown, books for children,” etc. And lo, when you type in “halloween books children” on amazon and search the kindle edition, my book, Sleuth Susan and the Haunted Hallowe’en, is on the front page.
