Tuesday, September 07, 2010. Bearskin in the Rockies. We went camping last weekend, and although I nearly froze to death, I had lots of fun. And have decided that I want a bear as a pet. I promise to feed it, take it for a walk at least twice a day, and give it lots of hugs and kisses. My pet bear will be vegetarian, and eat only berries and honey.not humans. At least this kept us warm at night. We didn't have real wine glasses, so we used Tim Hortons. I may not be a wine connoisseur.

Saturday, May 29, 2010. I'm definitely overdue for a blog update - lots has happened. I'm in Calgary now! It's a great city, dynamic and exciting. But cold. It's May 29th, and it's snowing outside. I love the snow, and much prefer winter to summer, but come on. This is the first thing I saw when my plane landed. And this travel agency is still advertising winter getaways - in May! It's a good thing I have my big work boots, which double as snow boots. At least Saskatchewan is warm. And go Riders, go!

I have a crush on the grandmother of my son's little playmate. I wrote about this book in my very first blog post. And I guess I must have talked about it at playgroup. Needless to say, I was totally flattered that the mom had mentioned me to the grandma, and the grandma even knew my name.) She's reading it right now, using a cookbook holder to prop it up.
