Blind + Crazy (or How to Tandem Mountain Bike): August 2010
http://blindcrazy.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Blind Crazy (or How to Tandem Mountain Bike). Chris is a keen, slightly lazy mountain biker. Logan is ex-Army, blind, and madder than a box of badgers. Both live in Christchurch, New Zealand, with their demanding wives and children. Together, they are climbing onto a tandem mountain bike and hitting the mud and hills in an effort to learn all there is to learn about tandem mountain biking. Monday, August 16, 2010. Oh, to have time! Our first option, seriously considered, was the Twizel Hard Labour Weekend.

Sifter Goes (Bike) Riding: Remission
http://sifter-writes-bikes.blogspot.com/2015/06/remission.html
Sifter Goes (Bike) Riding. Saturday, June 20, 2015. This morning, SH1 was closed after heavy rain washed out a bridge, and today's road race at Te Horo was officially off the menu. I was in two minds about it anyway - while I was looking forward to an opportunity to get on my "race bike", the weary legs of Thursday evening were probably still hanging around, and I didn't want to dig myself into a hole. A swollen Hutt River north of Silverstream Bridge. Summit of the Rimutakas. Or something from 2010.

Charlotte Ireland: March 2010
http://charlotteireland.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 11, 2010. The 2010 Karapoti was my 4th Karapoti. When I think back to the first time I went around Karapoti, the big hills, the mud, getting lost with my Dad, I never thought I would enter agin far less 3 more times. Karapoti has that pull factor and it is one event I really don't want to miss. Two days before the race I made a random new bike purchase, a hard tail when I am used a full suspension and decided to use brand new untested tyres. Lucky there was no damage done. Within no t...

Charlotte Ireland: Kiwi Brevet Day 3, 4 and 5
http://charlotteireland.blogspot.com/2012/02/kiwi-brevet-day-3-4-and-5.html
Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Kiwi Brevet Day 3, 4 and 5. Day Three – Lees Valley to Bealy – 150km? We had a restless sleep as in my haste to put up the tent I didn't pick an exactly flat spot. Under the trees we were bone dry and there wasn't even the hint of dew. We got up about 6 and were on the road at 6.50am. Breakfast for me was a small packet of Pringles. Day Four – Bealy to Reefton – 200km approx. We covered the 12kms to Arthurs Pass with ease and passed Jimmy who looked more worse for wear and he ...

Charlotte Ireland: May 2010
http://charlotteireland.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Finally my first 24 hour race was here. Before I say anything else I want to thank the two people who made it happen, my support team. Juliet and Tim were awesome, I couldn't have asked for more from a support crew! The lead up to the start was very relaxed, I had spent the two weekends previous, packing stuff into boxes, getting food ready and writing instructions for my crew and so I really didn't have much to do once we arrived in Rotorua. After a quick plate of pasta at Fat Dog...
