Bringing random useful crap to the internet since 2007. A need came about for a page that could execute commands to retrieve details for: host, ping, traceroute, WHOIS and GeoIP data from one page. We have written a PHP script to do just that. It is designed to run specifically on Linux and you will encounter errors on Windows, it can be tweaked to run on Windows. For this to run properly you will need:. Linux based web server with PHP. GeoIP PHP module for GeoIP lookups. To get the script, click here!

About | The Attic Network

Bringing random useful crap to the internet since 2007. The Attic Network or TAN for short. Is a random domain name I picked up back in 2007 when I got into IT. It was called as such as I had a attic room growing up where all my IT stuff ended up and where I experimented with various network setups. Eventually I created the AD domain, The Attic Network and thus, it was born. Is updated more frequently, and I tend not to have much time anymore for experimenting with IT things, but still like to tinker 🙂.

Project Dakota | The Attic Network

Bringing random useful crap to the internet since 2007. In 2007 Project Dakota was born out of need to mass update computers on a daily basis. Over time it evolved to more than that and ended up taking off to a full scale deployment. By 2009 the lead developers of Project Dakota had released 4 versions that was downloaded over 20000 times – we crashed 2 web servers because of the slashdot effect. You can read more about Project Dakota at the main site of http:/ www.projectdakota.net.
