Life where we are planted. Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Jamberoo and Kangaroo Valley. Last Saturday we went on a scenic drive with a couple from church. Our first stop was Saddleback Mountain. Beautiful views of the NSW south coast. After morning tea and cookies at the Lamberts home in Kiama, we drove to Carrington Falls. We were the only ones there which was nice. Life where we are planted. Monday, March 28, 2011. These are a few of my favorite things. So I haven't done a good job of keeping this blog up. I had all intentions of blogging. Monthly.yeah that isn't happening. So here it goes. I love reading other blogs and seeing what some of their "favorite things" are. Favorite Things Oprah style, although I doubt anyone will have a heart attack reading my list. These are some things that I'm loving right now, little things that bring me joy :). This is one of our favorite dinners to make. it is super easy and you can make it based on what's fresh in your garden. or fridge! Our tomatoes aren't quite ready to eat yet but our basil is growing like crazy. We could have made some homemade pesto but Trader Joe's makes it so easy for you! 1 package of martha white pizza crust (follow directions on the back for cooking time and temperature). 1 tomato, sliced. Pesto for the sauce.

One cup boiling water. 6 ounces fresh BlackBerries. Place sage leaves and sugar in a small pot. Crush the sage leaves with a wooden spoon or a muddler. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over sage leaves and sugar. Let sit and cool, about 15 minutes. Next time I might substitute 2 cups of water for 2 cups of sparkling juice or sparkling water.
