I hate people, I hate wedding plans. I went away for the weekend and NOBODY did any of the things I asked them to. I asked my brother to try on his tux. it took me 3 requests to get an answer and NOW he wants a vest. well, I'm like, then I need your measurements. he's like, don't they come in sizes? I asked my mother to get an RSVP from her last two guests. Nothing yet. WHAT GOOD WILL THE CHECK DO? Can i just scream? I swear i think eloping is the way to go. i have some friends that i truly want in the wedding. But, i swear, they keep forgetting it is my wedding. Please someone tell me if i am being unreasonable. Cut for those not interested:. I love these girls. But, isnt the whole point of being a bridesmaid is to wear what the bride chooses? Freaked the fuck out. I actually do have a wedding-related rant this time. Maybe. I hope not. but we'll see. This afternoon I got a voicemail from someone at the hotel where we're having our reception. She introduced herself and said that she was now in charge of our event, and that the guy we'd been working with before was no longer with him. I'm probably over-reacting. I talked to the new lady at our reception site today. She was not terribly pleasant. She had two things to tell me:. 1 Our deposit never went through. 2 She can't meet with us before late October. The wedding's December 16. She also wouldn't tell me what happened to the old guy, Maurice, who I thought was awesome. Should I still attend? A casual friend of mine is getting married, and I was invited to be a bridesmaid in the ceremony. A month or so later, we got into a large disagreement, and mutually agreed that it would be best if I just attended the wedding, rather than being in it, (the disagreement was unrelated to the wedding itself). I don't know what to do about my boss. My wonderful co-worker fixed it all for me! So now the boss is calling Jen to ask if she should have gotten her invitation by now. How do I deal with this?
