I know we are nearly half way through January already but I am not sure where the time has gone? The weeks seem to be flying by and as yet I haven’t thought about my garden or the year ahead. I am conscious that I have completely missed planting of spring bulbs. Last year I planted lots of daffodils in some See It Gro. Small Grow Bags With Big Benefits. November 4, 2013. I am a huge fan of Halloween and always decorate the house with carved pumpkins and decorations. It was great to see that this year everyone seemed to go crazy for Halloween and every shop and restaurant was decorated to the max. On Sunday I still had a small pumpkin left that had been neglected when it came to carving time so I decided to put it to good use and make a spiced pumpkin soup. 1 tbsp of fresh ginger. 2 tbsp of fresh coriander. Small Grow Bags With Big Benefits. A long hot summer. September 10, 2013. So the rain and chill of Autumn has finally arrived. It’s sad that the lovely hot summer we just had is coming to an end but to be honest we should count ourselves lucky; they say we have had one of the best summers in 7 years so we can’t complain. We have also done well with tomatoes (my favourite) and beans which have grown at an alarming rate long the fence between our flat and next door which are now keeping both parties in con...

Thursday, 25 July 2013. Using Kefir Instead of Milk. So, someone gave me some kefir grains. The other day and I have been making my own fermented goodies. This morning, I wanted to whip up some pancakes and there wasn't any milk left. There was plenty of kefir in the fridge however, and I don't quite like water in my pancakes so I thought I'd try using kefir instead. I mean, it couldn't go wrong right? It's just a little more sour than regular milk and I have heard of sour milk being used in pancakes.
