Mamahood. Writing. Lawyering. Life. Los Angeles. Who Is Loving Lucy? Tag Archives: leaning in. To Lean Or Not To Lean? Last week I received my pre-ordered copy of Sheryl Sandberg’s controversial new book Lean In. I have almost always “leaned in” at work. But because I have an extremely hard time saying no ( guilt isn’t new to me. Recently an article has been circulating. About never saying “yes,” only ever saying “hell yeah! Among professionals and new mothers alike, there seems to be a cult of sleepless...

To Lean Or Not To Lean? | Loving Lucy

Mamahood. Writing. Lawyering. Life. Los Angeles. Who Is Loving Lucy? To Lean Or Not To Lean? Last week I received my pre-ordered copy of Sheryl Sandberg’s controversial new book Lean In. And I gobbled it down in just a few days. I’d been reading a lot of the reviews and hearing a lot of press (including, annoyingly, discussions on shows like Bill Maher where it was obvious none of the panelists had read the book), and I was very curious to read it for myself and make up my own mind. Among professionals a...

Twilight Yappy Hour | Uptown Dog

Adventures of a not-so-average mutt making new friends in New York City. Now that it’s getting warmer outside, I’ve had more opportunities to venture out and explore the neighborhood. Recently I stumbled upon one of my favorite new spots, and it happened entirely by accident. Remember the pedestrian bridge and the East River walk I told you about. It’s practically nestled under the Queensboro Bridge, and you can watch the red tram carry people over the East River to and from Roosevelt Island. In addition...

Adventures of a not-so-average mutt making new friends in New York City. Uptown Dog is back in action! Hi everyone, I’m so happy to be back on the blog! As you can see, I tried convincing her to take a break. She would have none of it. Even my adorable antics didn’t work to distract her. Anyhow, I’m back and ready for my first spring in New York City. Life just keeps getting better. Thanks for sticking with me! Click to email (Opens in new window). Dream Kitchen | Uptown Dog

Adventures of a not-so-average mutt making new friends in New York City. The kitchen has always been one of my favorite rooms, because that’s where tasty morsels rain from the sky. Our New York kitchen can be a treacherous place, though. One person can fit inside just fine. One person plus a dog is pushing it. Two people? Definitely not. So when I’m waiting patiently for my tasty morsels, Mom is constantly tripping over me. Ouch! Click to email (Opens in new window). Newer Entry →. That dog is SO lucky!

Thanks for Collins: baseball a year later
http://thanksforcollins.blogspot.com/2015/05/baseball-year-later.html
A grass grower, a health care worker, and 2 little ones. Monday, May 25, 2015. Baseball a year later. Last year, we took the kiddos to a minor league ball game b/c A. read the alotted number of books to get her free ticket. This year, same thing; it's really smart from the teams perspective b/c they give the 6 year old a 7 dollar ticket and the rest of us have to purchase our tickets, dinner and then my husband also must purchase his funnell cake and soft pretzel. A grass grower, a health care worker, and 2 little ones. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. She literally steals the show. Flower #5 had 2 lines. Each line required her to be directly in front of the microphone. Then, she was to sit back in her spot. She did each line with such excitement that some people had to duck their heads or cover their ears. I don't think she really needed the microphone hehe. No back row for this girl. Links to this post. Sunday, May 25, 2014. Mommy, why are peaches yellow? Etc etc. etc.

A grass grower, a health care worker, and 2 little ones. Thursday, February 27, 2014. Date 1: Our typical Valentines Day date is going to Fudruckers. Why would you pick a hamburger place that used to have a large hunk of beef hanging in an open window you ask? The boys that have literally been together since birth didn't really acknowledge each other until the end of the meal. Their conversation:. K Hey Brayden, I have spiderman underwear. Brayden: I have boots. Links to this post. Links to this post.

A grass grower, a health care worker, and 2 little ones. Tuesday, September 17, 2013. My husband has been called lots of things in his life. But, Peepaw is by far my favorite. Thanks for being so awesome. Links to this post. Sunday, September 15, 2013. The return to sanity. I think some good family time is just what we needed to get rid of Crazy Mom and return to Sane Mom. We started last weekend with some fishing at our town pier. Nothing makes me happier than calm, and quiet kids. So, there you have it...

http://thanksforcollins.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A grass grower, a health care worker, and 2 little ones. Thursday, July 31, 2014. We were packing to leave and she pushed it with her tongue to show me how loose it was. "Today is the day A." I said. 3 minutes later, she came running over. "MOM, it is OUT." And just like that, no more baby for me. She asked me what happens to all of the teeth. "I don't know, what do you think? Here are A.'s thoughts on teeth. 1 There are probably 50 tooth fairies. One for each state. Links to this post. Links to this post.
