This is just a spot to share some comments about my journey and yours - the inward and outward paths that we all take. My paths have led me to horses and animals, nature and the garden, cooking and crafts and becoming an active member in advocacy. I hope you'll share your journey as I share mine. Welcome to my journey.

Views from the garden and around a small town. Monday, February 18, 2013. I've started a nursery. Not with children, but with plants. I decided after my Mom passed away in May of last year, I would go back to my first love of gardens and start a small perennials nursery. It always has been my perpetual dream of running a nursery business and having friends to help me grow it. We're doing it! Or follow my blog at Sage Advice Nursery Blog. Links to this post. Views from the garden and around a small town. Sunday, October 7, 2007. My Dad passed away this spring. He was an avid gardener and didn't quite make it to see the red tulips he had planted bloom once again in front of the house. I owe so much to him.my love of nature and the garden, a sense of responsibility and hard work and the need to be creative and follow ideas where they take you. Links to this post. Views from the garden and around a small town. Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Woke up to 6 inches of snow today and starting to dream of the garden this year. Have asked a friend to build a cold frame for early seed starting as I have no space indoors for seeds - and the dog eats the soil! Have also asked him to build a garden arch out of iron or re-rod but that may take some time - air temps need to warm up before he can weld properly. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Views from the garden and around a small town. Saturday, February 17, 2007. As a horsewoman, having had a few horses in the past, it was always my dream to get an unbroken colt and make him my own. The colt would be gray and I would ride off into the sunset with him. You know, the kind of dream that 16 year-old-girls who are crazy for horses have. Worked him with me on the ground for the first year and ultimately put a saddle and bridle on him. Got on, for the first time, in his 3 year old summer and...

Views from the garden and around a small town. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. After 2 years of unbelievable pain and 13 doctors.I finally figured it out. I've got a gluten-intolerance, possibly celiac disease. That means no wheat, barley or rye. Sounds simple enough. That is until you start reading labels on all the processed foods I used to eat. Plus it means no pizza, no beer, no regular cakes or cookies or even soy sauce. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Welcome to my journey.
