Gifts for new mommies. Apr 4th, 2011 at 11:46 PM. Hey all :) I know I haven't been around for a loooong while. I have a lot of catch up posts to make. Weee! Thought I'd start with this weekend's projects. I have one friend that just had a baby, and another that is about to have a baby. I made one of these for a previous friend and she really enjoyed it and had lots of people ask about it. so thought I'd make some more. It's a baby wipe case masquerading as a clutch. Costumes-Uniforms-Fashions Antique et a la Mode. One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art. Oscar Wilde. Mar 8th, 2010 at 3:57 PM. I have not accomplished much sewing wise lately. But here is an 1812 waistcoat I need to have done for the Kalamazoo Living History in two weeks. It is linen and linen-cotton. I still need to do button holes. I've saved the best for last! I cannot wait to wear it at Greenfield Village in May! 5 comments Leave a comment. Mar 8th, 2010 08:59 pm (UTC).

Sunday, February 4, 2007. Pink and cream striped fabric. This is 2 yards of 56 inch wide cotton twill fabric with .5 inch cream and pink stripes. I bought this originally hoping to make a Victorian corset or jacket bodice and just haven't gotten around to it. What would you do with it? See it on ebay HERE. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jun 19th, 2013 at 1:13 PM. Twenty years ago today in a stuffy little church in North Carolina I married a guy who looked really good in uniform. Life hasnt always been easy, and we have had plenty of downs with our ups, but we have made it this far, and not everyone can say that. Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband AJ. 4 comments Leave a comment. Jun 19th, 2013 06:33 pm (UTC). Happy 20th to you both! Jun 19th, 2013 07:48 pm (UTC). Happy Anniversary Laura and AJ! Articles in Threads - Twin Cities Costumers. Sep 22nd, 2009 03:59 pm. I noticed the last two issues of Threads. Magazine have had some great articles that could be put towards costuming. Issue has an article on re-covering shoes. Issue has an article on re-covering umbrellas, which could be used for making parasols, as well as an article on making gloves. 2009-10-28 12:18 am (UTC).

Good enough to eat? - Fruit Reticules
http://fruit-reticules.livejournal.com/4274.html
Good enough to eat? Good enough to eat? So here's where I'm at so far with my Strawberry reticule: I've finished the beading and have sewn it together and made the lining, Need to make the leaves/drawstring at the top and I'm done. I've been thinking it would be fun to make a whole strawberry inspired regency: green velvet spencer possibly piped in red, or maybe a red spencer and a green bonnet. Very silly, somehow it all reminds me of Strawberry Shortcake! 20th-Aug-2006 09:03 pm (UTC). Ohh I like it!
