Amazingly we managed to drive a bright orange buzz box from Canberra to Sydney, catch the shuttle to our overnight hotel, the same shuttle back to the airport (at 5:25am), fly to Christchurch, pick up our booked hire car and even locate our hotel we didn’t get lost once! Drizzling rain was with us the entire trip (about 4.5 hours with stops) but we managed to get out, duck the showers and see a bit along the way. Lake Wakatipu with mountain covered in cloud.
