Hey Woodford people - I need your advice! In all my years of going to Woodford I've never camped with more than 2-3 people in a single tent. It's become increasingly difficult in recent years to find a decent camping spot, but we've always managed to turn up on Boxing Day and find enough space to squeeze our not-too-big tent into. I know some people go up before the festival to set up tents and/or claim space and was thinking about doing this myself this year. So - what's the story? Post a new comment.

Each year, I seem to develop an unintended "theme" to my Woodford experience. The first year, it was eastern European Jewish/gypsy dance music; the second was bluegrass and old-timey string bands; the third was politics and environmentalism; the fourth was slam poetry. This year's theme seems to have been talking to people; I repeatedly ended up skipping bands I was planning on seeing in favour of continuing conversations with random folk I met around the festival. Is anyone around here or anyone you know looking for a ticket? I bought mine 6 months back (cheaper than the gate price) but am now overseas so need to sell - I could do with the money but I'd also hate to think it's sitting there and noone's using it! I'm asking $330 for adult season camping ticket program. You'd need to pick it up from my mum in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, since it's a bit late now for postage, and cash is probably the easiest method of payment. Post a new comment.

Hello there. Anyone lurking around? I've headed out to the folk festival every year for about the last 8, and am thinking of doing the big camp/volunteer to work there this year.
