Another two months gone, another year nearly ended - Random Thoughts from Grimmauld Place
http://cynthia-black.livejournal.com/654621.html
Random Thoughts from Grimmauld Place. Another two months gone, another year nearly ended. Much as I intended to post more, it really hasn't happened, has it? So what has happened since mid-October? Eldest turned 18. Her 'party' day out to Alton Towers went well, though it was a bit cold. Eldest also put in her University application form - and she's heard back from all of them! Five conditional offers to choose from. Now all she needs are some really good grades next summer. I've been starting to develop...

A long-awaited project - Clever Title Forthcoming. Acanthusleaf Designs - eclectic jewelry and accessories. Dec 7th, 2009 02:42 pm. There were many adventures along the way, and I'll need to get some better photos - I'm having a heck of a time with the reflections and glare. But it's done! And from a slightly different angle:. I'll be bringing this for show-and-tell to Girlie Monday. I so need a drink. 2009-12-07 10:44 pm (UTC). Oh, hon, that's gorgeous. 2009-12-07 10:47 pm (UTC). Well, all that means is...

Blurbs for Anne Mini - Touch of Ink
http://touch-of-ink.livejournal.com/98001.html
Ouch · of · I. Blurbs for Anne Mini. I've got two versions of blurbs here. The blurb should be between 200 and 250 words, and both of these are. Any feedback is welcome, as well as your vote for the first or the second one. It turns out, writing a blurb is a lot like writing a query. But since it isn't called a query, it's easier to write. Go figure! One of my new friends is a homeless boy with his first loose tooth. As if Oubliette weren't bad enough, Troll Wife discovers that the tooth fairies are hidi...

Scrummy food - Reading & Writing

Two Rs and counting. Nov 2nd, 2009 at 2:50 PM. In a surge of creativity the other day, and quite by accident I came up with a soup recipe that was so delicious I had to share it. I got a pumpkin with my veg box this week, and found a recipe for pumpkin and parsnip cassoulet for some of it, which turned out very well. I didn't fancy the beans so replaced them with venison sausages instead which did the business. However, I still had three quarters of the pumpkin left. What to do with it? This is what I had.

Gazanias. - The Gardener
http://gardening.livejournal.com/3913162.html
Jul 30th, 2015 at 10:08 AM. I just purchased these beautiful Gazanias at my local Gardening center. What I am wondering is, should I fertilize their soil? And if so, how often and what type of fertilizer do you all suggest I use? I know that they are native to South Africa and are able to grow in dry, poor soil and that I should water them until established and then water every two or three weeks-I think. Also they grow well in Zones 9-11. Photo: http:/ www.photobucket.com/user/rlagmagm.

The View from the North Tower. Not falling, flying. April 10th, 2016. Interesting tip on lapis lazuli:. Meanwhile: I've sent my Julian article off to Greece and Rome. And yesterday I met Jeremy Corbyn canvassing on Byres Road. I was about to take a picture he asked if I'd like to be in it, so someone else took it for me! He was very pleasant, and I was able to tell him why I'd left the SNP, and the fact I'd joined Labour after signing up as a supporter via my union to vote for him. October 1st, 2015.

Aug 7th, 2009 at 8:59 PM. A Downy Woodpecker gurl came to the feeder today, this is the first one I have spotted here. She was very cute but wouldn't hold still enough for me to get a nice clear photo. 2 comments Leave a comment. Aug 8th, 2009 02:07 pm (UTC). Aug 9th, 2009 04:53 am (UTC). Other than the jays I have to keep the squirrels from eating the entire block in one sitting :-P. I hope I can get to see the male Downy soon. 2 comments Leave a comment. Powered by LiveJournal.com.
