Ludlow Vineyard is located in Clee St Margaret, on the lower slopes of the Brown Clee Hill, near Ludlow in South Shropshire. The vineyard is spread over 10 acres, and has about 8,000 vines. The main white grape variety is Madeleine Angevine (a Riesling derivative), but we also have Seyval Blanc, Solaris, Phoenix, Madeleine Sylvaner, Kernling and Ortega. After several poor summers in our vineyard, we did rather better in 2013 and our white and rose wines are back. Ur best selling wine Clee Mists is a dry but fruity wine, with a Sauvignon Blanc character, made mainly from Madeleine Angevine, Seyval and Solaris grapes. Ludlow Vineyard now has a Licence to Distill, and we distil apple brandy (like Calvados), called Shropshire AppleJack. This is available in 50cl, 20cl and 20cl bottles. We also have Pear, Apple, Damson and Greengage Eau de Vie. We also make liqueurs, in 10cl and 35cl bottles. Flavours are Apple and Elderflower, Blackberry and Apple, Damson and Juniper, and Rhubarb and Ginger. These are all made by distilling a neutral spirit and mixing with fruit syrups which we make ourselves.

LUDLOW VINEYARD Cider and Apple Juice. Ludlow Vineyard has an apple orchard as well as grape vines. We have Coxes, Bramleys, and several cider varieties including Dabinett and Michelin. The trees are not fully producing yet and we supplement our own crop with other local apples. We also have Cox apple juice, in two sizes, 25cl and 75cl. Both sizes are available as clear juice, while the larger size is also available as cloudy juice, while the small size is completely clear.

Ludlow Vineyard now has a Licence to Distil, and we distil Apple Eau de Vie, Apple Brandy (like Calvados) and Pear Eau de Vie (like Poire Williams). We also distil Damson Eau de Vie and Greengage Eau de Vie. We produce these spirits in 50cl, 20cl, and 10cl bottles. Pending our own production we bought in some barrels of Fine 17 year old English Brandy from a retired vineyard owner in Somerset, and finished it and bottled it here at Clee St Margaret. Our Spirit products can be bought from Amazon.
